Cracking location I used a jungle bag in the winter on my hammock but over the top makes it into a cocoon trapping the heat work's really well atvb Jimmy 😎😎
Thanks for the tip Jimmy 👍. I'll give that one ago. Got your latest on my watch list. Not tried making a sawhorse yet, so I'll be hoping to be picking up a few pointers from you mate. Atb, J 👍.
Beautiful woodland that Jason, those bluebells are in their pomp, yours are ahead of ours. Loved the tarp setup and both fire lighting sequences I really enjoyed. Had to laugh at the cold feet, had that myself ha ha. Simple idea for the cheese bread stick, that and a brew what a good welcome to the woods. Very enjoyable, makes me want to get out now! Cheers Bud, good stuff.
Thank you so much Chris for your wonderful comment; as always mate 👍. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to spend the day and night in such a beautiful woodland. School boy error on my behalf mate regarding my cold feet. Lesson learned. Many thanks again buddy and I'll look forward to seeing you out again soon. Atb, J 👍.
Nice one Jason, great to get out in the hammock again eh and looked a good set up 👍. Quality time in the forest and it looked and sounds like a great place with all the bird song 👍 Atb fella, nice fireskills too Rick n Billy
Cheers Rick 👍. This was my first proper night back in a hammock since the forces. I was really impressed with it mate. A good bit of kit. Made a nice change from being on the ground. Many thanks again for watching Rick, appreciated. Atb, J 👍.

Nice Camp and some good Culinary Mess Tin Skills - I never knew one could make Dumplings that way as I always thought that they required SUET. No White Rum this trip then. I was fairly sure that the Jungle Bag would work as an under quilt - I have one of the British Army Jungle Bags albeit, I'm not overly successful with Hammocks - they're okay for a snooze, but I always feel as though I am going to tip out and sometimes, do. 🤦♂️😉😁
Ha ha, cheers Robert and for the image of you effing and jeffing, tipping out of your hammock 😁👍. One of the big US channels referenced doing dumplings in the field this way a while ago and I thought that I'd give them ago. Glad I did. Easy to do and a decent addition to a meal. The hip flask was with me. One of my permanent luxuries on overnighters. Will be filled up with Drambuie after I've finished off the rum. Many thanks again Robert and I hope that you have a great weekend. Atb, J 👍
What a great location, that opening scene...I bet you wish you had the raft with you 😊. Awesome food too, I might give those bread sticks a go at some point. Excellent vid! Atb Jonathan
Cheers Johnathan 👍. The location was fantastic and like you, I'm itching to get a paddle and camp in soon. The breadsticks are really easy to do and the kids love them. Many thanks again mate. Atb, J 👍.
Thanks Jay, I really appreciate that mate 👍. In all fairness, the jungle bag performed better than I expected. I'll definitely be using it again. Atb, J 👍.
I stitched tabs made from old hairbands to my hammock and sleeping bag so I can use it as an UQ or full pod, I think half of tarping/hammocking IS that outside the box thinking and crafting :-) Tip for your dough mix, pour the water into your bag, seal it and mix in the bag, no messing, keeps your pot cleaner and wash the bag out when you hit base again 👍
Great tips buddy, I like em 👌 I've finally decided after last weekends camp to invest in a proper under quilt. I've asked for suggestions on my last vid (should be live later this evening). Cheers and all the best, J 👍
