We are telling a real life story that happened during our busy and eventful high season.

Do I believe in ghosts? Actually I am not sure anymore. I know people that say that they have seen them and connected with them or pleased them. I never saw one but my Ex- Boyfriend (Balinese) always tried to please our housespirit at our home with burning essence sticks. So I leave this question open to everyones opinion. 🤔
God is love. These spirits are real but theyre spirits based on false gods with a little g. Aka demons. Dont sacrifice anything to any god. It will attach u to it and you will always be serving it. Notice these gods with a little g ( spirits / demonic spirits) are always angry or unkind? They make u serve them to keep them happy) oh theyre real, very real. Please be careful.
Just pray and believe God ( the one with a BIG G ) is love LOVE.

i walk in Christ that's what i chose - i study the bible for 20 years . all of the world falls away as we as christians are in the world but not of it. I believe that God answers all prayers of fervor as i can bare witness ...the hOly Bible should be renamed ---- the Holy Book Of Miracles so younger generations gather for the stories ... I lived in Asia for a very long time , Indonesia and Malaysia and Singapore . The ancient cultures in Asia are very in tune with the spiritual aspects of life .
I have experienced these cultural differences .
I fully embraced them , it adds so much to your life and understanding of the people. They will also be very happy with your acceptance.
I think you are very lucky to live this amazing lifestyle . I certainly believe in spirits as well .

Oh my god…..I loved this video! I laughed so much because it made me think about when I lived in Port Vila, Vanuatu with my in laws who were Vietnamese and very strict Catholics but with a huge dose of crazy old Vietnamese superstitions thrown in. I’m sure my husband would only translate half of what his parents said because he knew I would get so frustrated if I knew the weird things they believed. The ghost lady story was so familiar as ghost beliefs were a regular “occurrence” in our daily life. My husband didn’t believe any of it but just went along with his mum to keep the peace! 😂 I love the way you mixed the older video with your “ goat curry” analysis! Brilliant! PS. I am from germany. I grow up in a non religious family and I still am, but I became very interested in spiritual subjects after I wanted to know more about what happend after we die. I got many interesting aswers. Now I believe we are all spirits having an experience as human beings. The univers is a mind or spirit or ghost. This is a very complex subject. But yes spirt is everywhere. You know it when you go somewhere and feel heavy or light and happy. It has something to do with the spirit of a place. The same you can feel when you are around another human being. Loved this video today! 😘🙏

I am a very spiritual person from Switzerland following your channel. For me it s not about believing or not in ghosts. It s about whether you feel them or not. I definitely feel the presence of beings of other realms being around us. You can call them angels, spirits or sth else. They are around us and accompany us. So they need to be honored. Just seeing how you were all happy w this goat curry shows how spirits or energies can change in one moment of consciousness. Don t underestimate this state!
Hi, I'm a Thai who spent many years growing up in the UK and USA and now I'm back living in Thailand. I do believe that if you made a promise to a spirit or a sacred entity, it is better to keep the promise (I guess no matter what religion you are, if you are Thai, this becomes a part of your belief) Also, Thais always make merit at the place before starting a business and also at the beginning of the year just for good luck , you know, it's the "better be safe than sorry" kind of thing 😂BTW, your brother is very handsome!!

Not all Thais are Buddhist and believe in spirits and weird stuff although the majority do.
Our Hmong people believe and do the same as well. Gotta keep your words to the spirits, if you say you're going to do something for them better do it or else bc spirits don't play around

Hey Maayan and Mon,You both are so refreshing and the content of your vlogs is very on point and down to earth - struggeling with spirits good & bad is very common in Asian culture, in Myanmar they call them "Nats", they can be very nasty ! I think it helps to make a cleaning celebration (with yum goat curry lol 😋)when you are blessed with Mon`s Mother presence and prayers, she has for sure a positive power, because she loves you both and she is strong ! Hi I love your channel. We invite a Shinto( Japanese original religion ) priest to pray before we build a house and a building, open an office and a factory in order to avoid troubles, accidents and failures. It is not what we believe or not, it gives us some sorts of relief☺

I think that bad luck sometimes is spread out over time and sometimes all at once. A great employer whether in a large organization or small business will do a “ culture survey” to see how their employees feel and what they need to do after a difficult period to feel better and then put the action in place. You both did that perfectly! Whether or not we believe is not really the issue! Your response was perfect!
Hi Maayan and Mon, this is a very interesting video. I'm raised Moslim culture but also baptised at school Roman Catholic. I don't believe in ghost but there are good and bad entities and yeah spirits. What I know from both religions is that for new things in your lifes, new job, birth of your kids, a new house, business etc. we have to pray for blessings and succes. So Mon your mother is a strong Moslim believer and it was very good to involve your mother to pray for your wellbeing and family. Hospitality is a people business and everybody has their own "things, spirit or energy" that can stay or hanging in the rooms or area. Therefore after check out and thoroughly cleaning is good Mayaan/Mon to put your positive energy into it with a simple pray. Mon you can ask your mother for this. They have prayers for anything,when you are in trouble etc. Don't take it for granted. Very good of your staff to bring this to your attention. Believe me I say it again with my 40 years experience in this industry I know what I'm saying. Please take this experience in serious consideration. Not everybody has a clean mind... and it doesn't matter what kind religion you believe to pray for blessings. Maayan with your excellent IT skills please check how the reservations of Mon's Cooking class suddenly disappeared. Thank you for sharing this. God bless you🙏❤

If both of you can generate dual income then don’t force yourself to help your husband’s business if you want the time and freedom to run your own business. Since his business is so good, I am sure he can employ as many assistants as needed. Then only both of you will be able to earn money in peace and harmony for the entire family. My spouse and myself started a home based business since 1998 till today so we have been through some ups & downs.

Yes, I believe in many forms of energy: plant, animal, rocks, water, things and, oh yeah, people, too. Not everything exists within our capacity to see or touch "it." There are multiple dimensions. .
Of course I believe in spirit but I had the very same question as Mayan… religions get mixed up… and I love that!
I only believe in the loving spirit of Mayan and Mon as a couple and parent as they progress in this journey together. The only other spirit that I believe in is fear. Fear only exist in the anticipation of the unknown.

I'm a malay muslim from malaysia, we have something similar to this where i'm from. It's not so much done to please spirits but it's more of keeping the promise you made. We believe the promise is made to Allah first and foremost.
For example, someone says i want to take everyone in my family to eat out at a special place if i get the job that i'm currently applying for. If this person gets the job it becomes compulsory for him to fulfill the promise and not doing so can be considered a sin. Fulfilling the promise is considered a good deed and part of ibadah as long it doesn't involve anything haram in it.
It's called nazar or nuzriah. You can look up the meaning online.
Mon serving goat curry is a good thing, feeding others is always considered a good deed that brings rewards (pahala) in islam.

Muslim do believe in others spirit sush as jins, devil and angle. But to do offering for help or bless is a syirik sins. Ask help and blessings from one true Gods only...i think it a mixing culture & religion in southern thai Muslim community...same as here in Malaysia
It's more about the energy of giving away that will turn back to you .. 5000 baht every 6 months won't do harm instead it will make blessing and if its up to me I would give some of that goat curry to random ppl in street as well for more blessing ..

Indeed, indeed . Proof positive that colonialism , imperialism will never succeed in eradicating centuries old traditions and tribal superstitions . We only have to look at the British, Dutch, French, German & Belgian attempts to superimpose their values onto other cultures to learn how catastrophic and arrogant the exercise was . I think if you want to open a business in a Muslim area of Thailand, with staff that are Muslim, yes you absolutely should observe local customs and do the blessing. Any new structure you build would have a ceremony to make peace with all the beings in the area. Animals, sprits, etc. And maybe additionally have a Buddhist monk come too since Thailand is a Buddhist country.
And lastly, when you make an offering, if you think of it as for yourself instead of as for an offering already you have lost that offering as a substance that is appropriate to offer. That is why you don't smell flowers or incense that you are going to offer. "We are going to eat goat curry" is different than "we are making an offering of goat curry." What I just love about Thai culture though is this attention to detail. This attention to doing what is right, for yourselves, for your business, for your employees, for the local ghost people and holy people, and for the spirits of the land, and for the ancestors. Why wouldn't you want to take care in a place where it is so encouraged?

When all is well, spirit world is very far away from our mind. When things not going to expectation, it’s easier to blame on spirit world because they don’t talk back 😂. Village folks will suggest a feast, get a medium, some kind of community activities etc. Activities that pleases the living & the spirit world. My point of view is just go along and enjoy the meal, beliefs & gathering. If the “goat protein” can reverse the bad omen then thanks to the spirit world but I would do an in depth investigation on the entire process like advertisement, booking, website hits to see if there are “gremlins”. What the Romans did in Rome cannot be applied to the natives of Amazon even though they face the same problem. Love 💕 to you all nice & beautiful peoples ❤
