I am a full-time artist living in the mountains of North Carolina. I am currently working on a new oracle deck to be released in 2023. That was beautiful and I recognized the view instantly from your painting you showed us in an earlier video! Thanks for showing us your travel kit ‘in action’, I really want to paint outside at least once this year, just to try it! Thanks also for showing us a lovely glimpse of you painting back in your studio. I find watching people paint so interesting/relaxing ☺️

Hi! Thank you so much for watching! I try to keep my kit simple, you don't need anything fancy or expensive to get started painting outside, I hope you find it enjoyable!

Thanks! Several questions, please. 1) when on location, are your paints dry before you hike back? 2) how do you transport a wet sketchbook back? 3) is your sketchbook an A5 or an A4? And finally, who again is the maker of your ceramic palette? I love Letter Sparrow's New Gamboge, but Kelly there knows my all time favorite is Pistachio. To me it can be even more than a convenience color, if that makes sense. I hope you'll try it. I stock up!

Hi! I let my paints dry out for the most part before packing. They may still be a bit damp sometimes but not wet. I will sometimes carry my sketchbook open until the pages dry then put it in my pack - which is what I did this day. Walking with it helps it dry faster if I'm in a hurry, but if not I will wait and eat a snack while it dries. I'm using an A5 here, the Hahnamuhle Cotton book and the ceramic palette is by amistofhorses.bigcartel.com/ - she doesn't always have palettes available, but I love when she does. And I've tried the pistachio - lovely color. It's always fascinating to find out everyone's "favorite" color.
