  • Do this regularly and you are going to see a huge improvement to your hip flexibility - you just have to be consistent. Try it 3 times per week for the next 6 weeks and I know you will not regret it.
AS ALWAYS - Check with a physician before embarking on new fitness or exercise routines, including mobility.
Can't wait to hear how it felt for you.

I want to thank you for this - I can't believe how much tension and trauma I carry in my hips. I'm a runner and find my hips gathering stress and tightness as I push my distance. Doing this workout multiple times has caused a physical and emotional release for me, that is quite amazing! 😘

YOU WERE RIGHT! After doing this regularly for a month, the difference in my hip flexibly is insane!
Love it! Thank you so much 😊

DAY 5 - I have been enjoying this routine. It's effective and 20 minutes passes by quickly. As mentioned, I'm continuously sinking deeper into the poses, and there is not one pose that I like more than the other. Also, I am starting to realize that perhaps I have been holding on to too much tension around the hips for the longest time. I am glad that I made it a goal this year to care more for that area of my body. Also, I believe it is linked to how I manage stress throughout the day.

Shona you have helped me so much with my approach to yoga and more consistent practice. I love the variety you offer here, your period pain flow was a game changer for me. Keep doing/being you, you are helping so many! :)

THank you for this message :) it's made my week. I just made another gentle yoga practice for sickness or period - so you can change things up a bit. Hope you like it.

DAY 6 - I missed a day, but everything is alright. Got back on track today. I did not have access to yoga blocks this time around, so I used a cushion to raise my hips, and a pair of platform Crocs to rest my hands. Now, after returning again to this routine, I feel great 😊 Just what hips needed!

DAY 7 - It has officially been TWO WEEKS 🥳 Any forward bend yoga posture is still a struggle for me, so the transformation is not miraculous, but there has been realistic improvement since day 1. My hips don’t feel as tight as they did initially and I now have a routine that I can return to over and over again to counteract the effects of sitting at a desk. Going forward I could keep this up for an entire year, and take timelapse videos once a month to document my progress. Thanks Shona for what you do best! 💛

DAY 3 - My body craves to do this routine every day, but I'm sticking to doing this every other day just to make it more sustainable for the long run. When I do the 90° with the legs, I can now bend my body forward with my forearms on the block, and I feel comfortable in the posture. I even managed to raise my right leg off the floor!

Shona, you've been instrumental in keeping my hips and emotional self happy over the years! Thank you so much - do not underestimate how many people you've supported through your work on RUclips.
Speaking of lungeing properly... could you do a how-to video on it? I'm forever worrying that I'm not doing them correctly and want to avoid injury! x

DAY 2 - My hips tightened up again since the last time. Nevertheless, my hips opened up at a faster rate. My body has in a way become more familiar with the poses. I also gained more awareness over my body, such as my right hip (the dominant side of my body) is way tighter than my left side. I feel good doing this routine that puts my hips back to "reset".

DAY 1 - You heard Shona: "Every second day, for the next two weeks" So, I guess I'll be posting my progress here for a total of 7 days! First time doing the routine, and I already feel instant 360° release around the hips, including the lower back!

Seeing you uploading a new video made me super excited but then I broke my arm and now neither can I do any yoga nor can I work out :(
Could you please create a hands-free yoga practice or do you have any tips what I can do? I’m afraid of losing the muscle mass I’ve worked so hard for by not being able to move as much.
    UPDATE:
My arm is a lot better now and I do yoga again on a daily basis. I can even do downward dogs and chaturangas again. Only moves where I have to use only that arm as support don't work for me.
I'm so happy I can finally do your practices almost completely again!
They've already helped me so much!
    Thanks a lot, Shona!

oh my goodness!!!! NOOOOOO!!!! Of course ... I will film it as soon as I can. I think this sequence could work for you as it's mostly hip based, but I'll also make another one of course.

DAY 4 - My hips continuously tighten up on the days in between. Nevertheless, I am able to sink deeper into the poses more and more every day. There has been transformation since I started, but I feel that I will notice significant transformation if I keep it up beyond two weeks.
