Resistance is a terrific song from MUSE. They have so many more gems. Selecting a favorite song is like selecting your favorite child. That said, Starlight does it for me.

You should try *The Warning* - a band of 3 sisters that toured with Muse after being fans for years. Matt Bellamy (Muse lead singer) gifted a guitar to The Warning's lead. Check them out at their 2023 MTV VMAs performance of *'Evolve'.*

Personally I think their cover of *Resistance* almost matches the original even if they only were 14, 12, and 9 at the time of recording. *Resistance - MUSE Cover - The Warning*

I found out about the band in 2006 and was lucky enough to see them in a mid-size theater during the "Black Hole" tour. I've always described Muse as a cross between Queen and Radiohead.

Muse are definitely the best band ever (in my opinion). Take in the lyrics as well as the music, they really are amazing.

Had a feeling we might not get to see the video for this one, but I'm glad to know you were enjoying it, Harri! Muse's live shows are fantastic, and as you can tell from the music video, they sure know how to energize their fans!
More requests to come for these guys. The well is deep!

I love Muse. They are quite bombastic, as was Queen, so the comparison isn’t unexpected.
It took me some time to really get into Muse, but now I really dig them.

Muse are legends of the game. Their latest stuff is great, kill or be killed is a total banger.

This song is inspired by the illicit romance between Winston and Julia in George Orwells famous book 1984. A great example of MUSE doing what they do best.

I discovered them a few years ago as well when I was watching figure skating. They were often used for figure skating since.. Yeah: fascinating. Though they are a mish mash of many groups they are still something new. As you said already, the chorus singing in this peace reminds me of Queen in their early days. But the sound of the lead singers voice is unique.

Muse has such an amazing extensive catalog! I suggest Uprising and Supremacy (both from the 2nd Law album). Oh, and Explorers! I LOVE Matt Bellamy!!!

Muse have always been very clever with their songs and tend to have very political stuff, usually on the more Orwellian side of things while also being very much about relationships and their endings. I often describe them to people as having three styles of songs, Distopian Apocalypse, Relationships and Distopian Relationship Apocalypse.

Their album/studio is just okay. There is a reason that their many, many awards are for "Live performance" That's where they excel.

This song is about the forbidden love of Winston and Julia in the novel 1984, but they've also used it as a gay rights song.
