Maclaren had a non competative car, Renault was mid pack at best and the RB are anywhere between 7th to 15th. So i am not sure where it is that he has had every chance in the world. Underperformed are Leclerc, Norris, Russel who have had everything given to them by the teams they represent, yet nowhere in regards of top 3
He's "not been the same" since he left Redbull. Likely he's been a journeyman from day 1, who had the fortune to be in a championship winning car, but couldn't capitalize on this when push came to shove.

He's just like Vettel. Both of them can drive a car that suits them crazy fast, but when they have to deal with a car that has weak front end( in DR's case) or weak rear end (in Seb's case) they are below average.
Vettel won 4 WDCs at the very least and didn't escape from the fight like Ricciardo did when he escaped Verstappen and tried to make it look like it had nothing to do with Max.

Yukio hasn't been too great. Since Dan turned up and it was him or Dan then Yuki has upped his game to the level of a good second string driver. He will never be a Piastri or a Berman but he certainly is better than Stroll or Magnusson. He is doing enough to keep his seat. Good on him.
Race pace matched and was sometimes better than Yuki's today. He needs to sort the qualifying. If he can do that, the race results will pick up as the pace is already there.

Great to see all the support for Ricciardo to improve and show he still has it... All the Yuki fanboys flocking to everything that mentions Ricciardo just to say he's washed and he's finished when he showed very decent pace today dropping about 6 seconds to Yuki over the gp despite being on a terrible Strat having to pit early off the softs that were not better than the meds. His quali lap yesterday would have been easily q2 (he lost time by going off where he invalidated and I know that was his fault). I understand he's nowhere near his best and lawson should probably be in that seat but you're acting like he's 50 seconds off the back of the pack.
Yuki had a different tyre strats. he ain't competing against the Aston Martin, that's way above VCarb's league. he was defending and tyre managing, trying to protect his gains from Haas. Ric was a lost cause being dead last, he can afford to run on extreme soft tyres and with the car being lighter with less fuel it wasn't surprising he can pull off better pace at the latter stage of the race.
