I used to live next door to Billy in Auchterhouse. Our apartments shared a common staircase. I used to hear him coming up the stairs singing. No accompaniment. Just this brilliant voice echoing up the stairs. Still miss it... I drove past his house today in Auchterhouse, where he kept his dogs, and was found dead. My wife and I saw him just before that, and he was so excited as he had new music and a new album he was working on. What a tragic loss...
