1990's...in a small Baptist church......we belted out this wonderful song.....thank you Lord Jesus
Wow… What a way to instantly turn six years old again… 57 years ago in a Baptist Church in a tiny West Texas town… Sunday night in the middle of summer and all the huge unscreened stained-glass windows are open, and one of my Sunday School teachers is in the pew behind us, belting out that bass part. I can smell honeysuckle.

This reminds me of my teen years back in the first church I ever went to.
We would sing this and similar hymns on Sunday nights.
I used to refer to them as the happy hymns!!
I miss my first church and all the wonderful people who helped me in my new walk with the Lord.
How tiny? This was a classic in Church of Christ in Plainview

@@toddcriswell434 thank you for your interest… Eldorado lies between San Angelo and Sonora, and at that time it was about 1200 people. County seat and only town in Schleicher County, on a good Sunday night we might have 20-25 people, but my dad, (the pastor), passionately preached the gospel as if he was in front of 250,000. We were there from about 1961 to 1973.

I am currently in hospital as my life of 64 years is coming to an end. I have all your songs in my music list to listen to and the one that moves me more than any other song at this time is your 4 part harmony of "All is Right With My Soul".
I was anointed by my church pastor to know in my heart that all is well with my soul as my life is ebbing away.

This was my family friend grandmother’s favorite. When she passed, the church had a wake, and we sang this song. Well, we tried😂.
Everyone was tearing up because we were happy knowing she was in a good place. It’s such a good pick me up. Still hits me in my chest.

One of my all-time favourite poetic lines in all of Hymndom begins around the 1:20 mark: "Just one glimpse of him in glory will the toils of life repay." The profundity of that line never fails to amaze me. Imagine living at a time of severe persecution, and you are tortured to death for your faith. You stay on the torture table for hours, each of which feels to you like a year or more, and finally, the Lord releases you from this life, and you stand before Jesus and see him for the first time. According to this hymn, your reaction might be like this: "Yup. It was worth every minute. I'd do it again if he asked me." THAT'S an amazing testimony.
Reminds me of a favorite scripture:
“Light, momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison.” 2 Corinthians 4:17
