Which is so sad because Janice Burgees dedicated YEARS of her life for backyardigans to be picked up. The first pilot came out in the 1990s. Show didn't even get picked up until 2003.

These designs…they look like cocomelon, and I absolutely Hate that! It’s disgusting, and yes…it looks like AI. I don’t know what they were thinking, but we need to stop this madness. DO. NOT. USE. I feel sad and devastated, I will not allow this blasphemy to happen to the Backyardigans. Heck, my mom has recently shown the original show to my nephew, and I think he likes it? I don’t know, he’s a 1 year old. But, I felt nostalgic seeing it again after so long.
I just have to disagree. I am against the idea of a cocomelon “brainrot” reboot. But I feel people are being a little harsh because it was something from their childhoods. I watched backyardigans when I was growing up and when I first saw this I have this kind of reaction, but then I thought for bit and if this is just a little thing that they are just testing out just to see public opinion, then people are blowing this WAY out of the water.
TL:DR I think this is a one off thing and that people are blowing this out of proportion.

Disney recently did the same thing with their new "Playdate with Winnie-the-Pooh" series. They even aged down all the characters and watered down the writing for a younger audience. Which is SUPER redundant for a series like Winnie-the-Pooh, a franchise that is already for a young audience.
OMFG, that show. I watched every episode of it and the "vlog", just to see how bad it was. It. Was. BAD. The characters look uncanny, the writing is so milquetoast and dumbed-down, Piglet's face is borderline punchable - not to mention they made Rabbit a girl. Plus, they're somehow able to fit a song into a mere two minutes.
