Shutter Speed - bulb
Music: Jason Shaw. freemusicarchive.org/music/jas...
For everyone asking about the Shutter Speed - its BULB (Wide open) and he said he keeps it open for 4 second 'time exposure'. The motion is stopped by firing the flash/strobe in that 4 second window. So - 1) all lights off, 2) shutter open, 3) fire the flash to expose the image, 4) close shutter, 5) turn lights back on.
you added what the film did not state. good for you.
Fantastic demonstration...lovely!
I really like the water in the face effect at 5:03 or so. That's a cool profile image. :)
You can achieve similar results even in broad daylight using speedlights that allows high speed synch (HSS). You set your ISO to 100, aperture to F8 or F9, and shutter speed to 4000 or 8000. You might have to crank up the power of the flashes, but it'll work!
They are really so creative. I am quite speechless from the work.
Check out ***** in our latest Behind the Scenes in a studio shoot using water balloons! Make a splash with this fun idea in your next shoot, see how you can in this video!
very creative love this video
Thank you for the info and the training.
is it me or on 5:08 the water bounce have sculptured the model's face??
Just a tip - If you had used second curtain sync, the water drops would have gone in a natural direction (down or outwards), now they are going in the opposite direction, up and inwards.
Fantastic idea!
that's perfect!
Wow.... it's awesome 👍👍👍👌
wow!
its amazing
Great idea!
Great work
Thanks for sharing the set up for the water holding area but the more interesting thing to know is; How do you clean up the water after the shoot?? that's a important piece of info to add in
That is true, Karen. We should have included that info. Usually we use a small plastic pool under the model to catch the water.
StudentStock Blog aaaah, got it!! thanks for the reply back. I have done water shots before but outside so it didn’t matter where we shot the images
Karen Kaner
At 5:14 you can see them standing in a plastic pool ...

What Is The Shutter speed/ISO/Exposer ?
This guide is more focused on the needs of photographers. Those who want to make their photography look as professional, polished and above all, as competitive as they can. It’s techniques are simple, straight forward, and easy to follow. It was easy to follow and had some really great tips and secret methods for improving image. goo.gl/cJbNBo
The Snap Shots Picturisation the shutter speed is set long. Something like 5 to 15 seconds. As long as you have no model light or other light in the room it shouldn't mess with the exposure. Aperature was f8 and strobes are set to the lowest power.
Exactly, the shutter speed doesn't really matter as it's the strobe flashes that freeze the image. For ISO, you select the lowest possible, likely around 100.
It defends on the lighting?
Its better to set your shutter speed to the highest and use more light to the higest level, u can capture that tricks!
please name the software you are using for photo editing
Cool but what triggers the flash at the same time as the balloon is popped?
Awesome
how do the flashes fire right when the balloons blast ?

It would be better if you give the details of the camera, lens and the settings you used for these photos, especially, the one with throwing water on her face.

Not weird that they had the girls in white shirts? No? Only I think it is? K...
It was obviously the Company logo on shirts... white is always cheaper... perhaps low budget... nothing sinister
I’m not being serious. Just being funny
Agreed with your thought mate. But anyone know they instagram?
Or that they had girls.....
Naive
I dont understand why to have you shutter on 4 seconds. Because the flash is the important thin, why exposing longer when there isnt something like light painting after it.
Only a good Exposer what you need
nice model
👏👏👏👏👏💎💎💎💎
Whether it is Adorama , Sekonic , Photo Extremist or the Student Stock channel performing the demo it is the same stunt and it only plays once before clients start seeing other ad campaigns referenced in the original work they paid for.
