Important note for PC players, you have an extra option in the system menu. Due to this, after pressing down 4 times, use the mouse to move to the "quit game" option. The easiest way to do this is from the bottom of the screen, or to have the mouse already in place, and slightly nudging it will activate it and have it select "quit game" from here, just use your controller to press it and enjoy the glitch
Not something that should be patched out, freedom on subsequent run is part of the souls experience. Glitches are good for not wasting time in challenge runs as well
I think that if you enjoy the story of these games, you should absolutely play DS2, and try and go into it knowing as little as possible (except for non spoilery guides on how to go through NPC quests). While it (and all the souls games) certainly has its fair share of problems, imo it has the best story out of all of them. It's my favorite one for that exact reason. I still can get chills watching people make it to certain points of the game, even years and multiple playthroughs of my own later. This isn't to say I don't like the gameplay, I love it despite what everyone says, but the story and characters are just so good that it's stuck with me the most.
Really? That’s good to know. I’m definitely going to play it after I make my through bloodborne (which I’m currently playing) they only things I know about DS2 are the mechanics that everyone hates like how they treat I frames as a stat you have to pump up. But otherwise I’m pretty blank on the actual goings on in the story.
@@TheBacklogHog Oh yeah, despite people generally preferring the other games mechanically and lore wise, the actual story and characters usually do get a lot of credit when people aren't just memeing around. While certain characters like Solaire are very beloved, and their plotlines can be very impactful, DS2 is somewhat unique in the series in that character and story beats are some of the most memorable parts of the game. Or at least it was fairly unique, as the design of Elden Ring's characters and their stories feels very DS2 inspired. Actually, there's quite a lot of DS2 DNA in Elden Ring, as dual wielding (or "powerstancing" as it used to be known) was actually a feature originally from DS2, and there are some areas that are clear tributes to ones in DS2. It was amazing playing Elden Ring and seeing how much it took from my favorite souls game, especially after DS3 mostly wanted to focus on DS1. I hope you're having fun in Bloodborne! It's definitely got my favorite gameplay out of the whole series, and also has a great story and lore. The visual design is also phenomenal. I hope you'll stick with it this time around, and the same goes for DS2! I dropped a playthrough or two of DS2 before I beat it because I got pretty lost early on, but the further you go the better the story gets, and the stronger the payoffs for the earlier setups become. You do want to get some ADP in so your rolls don't suck, but it's really only a huge deal if you just don't know about it at all and try and beat the game with just your base level in it. Good luck!
@@1KBestK Thanks for the tips on DS2! You are definitely making me excited to play it! I did forget that the powerstancing originated in DS2. It is funny to me that when I look up DS2 videos or reviews its either from the perspective of love or complete hatred for the game. I will keep an open mind once I get to playing it. Bloodborne is so good. So far I have to agree, the combat is superb and so far I think its becoming my favorite souls game. The only downside is that I have to run through the chalice dungeons for the platinum but I might attempt getting that through the false depths codes so its wont take too long and become super tedious to progress.
What should I do if accidentally killed the undead merchant to steal his katana? I wanted to do this glitch but I'm afraid it may not be possible anymore.

It's pretty cool how soulduping doesn't _completely_ destroy the balance because you've still gotta use your brain.
A true testament to the genius that went in to the game.
I remember doing this glitch on my 3rd or 4th playthrough. SO fun.
It is! I always find it fun when you can get super op in a world that wants nothing but you dead lol

That’s true, I didn’t think of it like that.

Might as well go for it normally at least once

As far as I know you’ll have to get to the blacksmith in order to buy arrows again.
Tried it for fun, did everything, but it quit out and i lost my soul oof
Oh no. That’s no fun. Even with the glitch and basically unlimited souls it’s still never fun losing them.
Who hasn't?
BOOOOO Cheater BOOOOO 👎🏻👎🏻
Im the Homelander. I can do whatever I want
Cringe git gud bro
IT'S his game. Let him do whatever he wants. Video games are to mess around and have fun with, not to command people what to do
