I've been impressed with his composure and demeanor. He doesn't look confused or intimidated. I've not been impressed with Tyreek Hill as our #1 WR. I think we're going to regret releasing J Mac.
Very impressed. Way ahead of whatever "schedule" people had for him. Has shown the incredible arm strength & quick release. You either have pocket awareness & mobility or you dont...and he clearly does. He's shown his amazing ability to throw on the run & across his body & w/different arm angles like a Favre, Rodgers, Wilson, and is always looking to throw downfield and not just run when pressured. He's shown he can make insane throws in tight windows with a guy right in his face on 3rd downs for 1st downs. He's shown he can identify defenses and audible & go through his progressions (like he did in college). And he continues to not turn the ball over. (Only 10 INTS last year out of 591 passes while constantly needing to score & go down field.) He's shown a ton so far. He's basically the anti-Alex Smith (besides the not turning the ball over thing because he's good at that too) and you're right Colin, he definitely has that "It" factor to go along with his elite physical tools & work ethic. Kansas City looks like they've finally found their homegrown 15+ year franchise QB that they've been missing practically their entire 54 year run as a franchise.
I agree losing J-Mac sucks, but Tyreek, even with Alex Smith as his QB, is gunna have a monster year. He had a bad half catching the ball in a preseason game...which is rare to see as he has great hands and showed it all of last year. And he barely played the first two preseason games & produced when he did. Don't be down on Tyreek because of one bad half of a preseason game.
So far pretty impressive with the exception of the Seahawks game. But he's been mostly going against 2nd and 3rd string defenses. I'm anxious to see him start against the titans
Preseason is important in the NFL because there's only 16 games. With only 16 games, every game is extremely important. So you need the preseason to make sure you hit the ground running.
Lol Colin was worried about Derek carr... Little did he know our BACKUP at the time would run him out of the division, and take over the entire league.
He's not better than Mike McCarthy!! #Facts McCarthy 1 Superbowl ring this guy 0!! And he was the coach in Philly when Green Bay went there in the playoffs and won on our way to the Superbowl!!
Very impressed, the dude has a rocket arm! He is still very, very, very raw. His mechanics already look better than they were at Texas Tech. Give the kid 3/4 years when Smith probably retires, he'll be the franchise QB if they keep Reid as HC, which they should
@@tacolordentertainment8099 Salute..fr. Malaysia. Was there in KCMO fr. 1996 thru 2000 pursuing a degree. Been fan of the Chiefs ever since..wished they got somebody like him then... Well, better late than never, eh?

Especially for the rookies. It helps them get a taste of what to expect. It’s better than no preseason games, then getting thrown to the wolves all of a sudden.
Colin hates the preseason because its boring as a fan, but for the coaches and athletes it's important because its essentially their "dress rehearsal" for the real games. i think they should cut the preseason down to 3 games though
Totally agree. But the "dress rehearsal" is the 3rd game. And some teams can't even play their third preseason game like they would an actual game because they are actually playing each other in the regular season. I know they did this to my Raiders 3 years in a row- the 3rd preseason (and most "important" preseason) game is played against a regular season opponent. But if the preseason is cut down to 3 games, the 2nd game will become the "dress rehearsal". But in all actuality, the last preseason game is only for the players on the fringe of being cut- it's their only chance to display what they got.
It's Andy's dream QB to do the impossible, and Patrick's dad's best choice to coach his son. Patrick can make Elmer Fudd succeed as a head coach, most likely. But Patrick loves and honors Patrick Sr. and is making his dad grin like an idiot. It's an absolute dream ride for all of us Chiefs fans, and its made the NFL better overall. It is really jaw-dropping.
I always wondered why Jerry Jones had kept Garrett for so long? Is it because he likes to have Ivy League graduates work for him? Or the fact that he was once a Cowboy player? I don't see the Cowboys winning a SB with Jason Garrett. I just don't.
Love & respect Andy Reid. Also, love, & respect Alex Smith. However, only chance to beat Pats is to go with Pat Mahomes ! Otherwise, 10 + loss... just sayin...
Alex Smith is about to get booted from another starting QB job😭 Even tho he led the 49ers to a playoff appearance. If he was more explosive and took a little bit more of a risk he'd be like a poor mans Aaron Rodgers possibly
Maxima Gang Pat Mahomes looks to have a bright future. However in this complex offense, that Andy Reid has, it will take this young man 2 years to develop. There's no way he will be able to read a defense like Alex and change the call on line of scrimmage. Alex has all the tools around him to succeed in making big plays in this Chiefs offense. My biggest concern with KC is the defense giving up too many yards. Most teams would love to have Alex, we should continue to let Alex mentor the young Pat Mahomes
Its fine, his stock will be high after this season and he'll end up on a good team. And if he does win it all this year, I doubt he won't be the starter for at least 2018.
How impressed have you been with Patrick Mahomes?
