      Personally, I'd shop around for a "name" brand machine. I see used ones in the 30hp range under 2000 hours form the high to mid-twenties quite often in the Midwest which has higher prices than other areas from looking for the last three years for a machine for my farm. The Chinese excavator's I've seen carry no warranty, and I wonder what the part availably will be in a decade if not sooner when things start to fail.

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  Год назад +4

      @@primer50 thats a big reason i went with Kymron. You can upgrade a lot of the parts with name brand if they fail. They also have a one year warranty. I understand your point. I did consider that option but most of the machines i found in that price range were beat on pretty hard.

    I've had and still have a bunch of equipment. In 2023 there are no more secrets in excavator design. If these machines are built off of proven platform design with off the shelf parts...chill out. You can source the parts. The only special stuff will be less typically broken parts like the frame, cab, dashboard for gauges and such. JB Weld. Plastic welding. Metal Welding. Some machine shop work. Of course it won't have smart controls that learn your digging style with the joysticks and such...but who care. Learn how to run a machine and stay within its limits. Just hooe nothing overheats or flies apart. If you save 25% in initial cost then if it's 75% as good as the machine you couldn't afford then you've gotten what you should expect. If it's 90% as good and the machines you couldn't afford at 25% more it's a very good value!

    You can buy 1 ton class generic Chinese machines similar to this for 4500-7000 with cab, hydraulic thumb and various implements for $4500 to $7000. That's less than the backhoe attachment costs for our tractor and way more useful. You will have to maintain it yourself, but it's built pretty simple like an old oversize lawnmower or a 1950 forklift. Which isn't all bad.

    Ok for less than 30 I can buy a big name used one with decades of sales and customer support or yea buy off name one. But your unknown name brand you don’t have dealers with your equipment it sounds like so every time someone has major issues and have to send it to you what is that cost plus repair half the value but I buy cheap china brand for what 15000 brand new and some of those do have big name motor so parts aren’t hard to find and even china parts are not to hard either. I’m in farm country I have 4 shops to fix anyone one and would deliver to them or they come out and do the work at location and some times that is most 2 day wait. So to be honest until you get a name and location or dealer near me I’ll rather buy used for my needs or if I want new I wanna buy china brand cuz don’t know your build just like I don’t know the china build but with one I could save 10’s of thousands on it
