Can you show the math behind how you divided a paper into 9 parts using a random point???
Let me try. Let's say we have:
*L= length of the paper*
*R= random length where you bring the left corner on the first fold*
● Every time we do the sequence of three pinch marks, we are dividing by 8 (half of half of half)
On the first set of three pinch marks, we're dividing the random length R by 8. So we have:
R/8
● Then divide the remaining paper (right part) by 8:
(L -R/8) /8
= (8L-R)/64
● Divide the left part by 8:
(L -((8L-R)/64)) /8
= (56L+R)/512
● Divide the right part by 8:
(L -(56L+R)/512) /8
= (456L+R)/4096
=0,111328125*L + R/4096
Note that R becomes irrelevant because we're dividing it by 4096
The length of paper L is multiplied by 0,111328125, which is a good approximation to 1/9 (0,11111111...)
@@jonakashima oh my i need to check this out, this should have took a lot of time, i appreciate it ,THANK YOU
@@jonakashima you know it's a very big calculation! Thanks for explaination.
Hei Jo Nakashima! Kenapa tak benar cakap!
@@jonakashima Thanks!
bro you literally make the most complicated and coolest origami ever
Mr. nakashima I have been watching your origami since I was little and have been doing it for five years. Thank you for always being an example to me.
Amazing, a bit tricky that last step, but feels so good once I finally got it!
This looks good🔥🔥🔥💯...can't wait to try it out
Finally, found something to make! Your origamis are unique
Enjoy!
@@jonakashima Thank you!
I really love your origami !!! ❤🎉😊
Amazing!! Thank you for sharing 👍👍👍💫✨
Thanks for the tutorial!
hi, i rediscovered your channel today. i used to watch you 10 years ago, when i was about 9 or 10. my favorite video of yours and that i actually completed was the mini eiffel tower. thank you for your videos and hours of fun. i'm glad you still make videos. i might have to pick up origami again!
True ART♥️ I still can’t fix it at the end properly.. 😅. Amazing how it is possible to do it without tutorial! Thank you for the beauty!🙏
I love this model and I want to make lots of them! However, I am stuck on the final collapsing part, no matter how many times I watch it. I'm trying to work backwards and see if that helps. I know I'll get it eventually and then I'll wonder how I thought it was hard! Thank you so much for sharing and I agree, the nine sections seem like magic.
aww my cup looks so cute thanks to you ^-^
beautiful, good work, success to you💞👍
wow i have no idea how you got 9 even parts from folding to a random point, that takes some complicated calculations. nice job!
Check the pinned comment's reply, just posted the explanation about this!
Looks good! I may use this to hold my coffee if I can…(I’m not joking)
멋진 컵👍👍👍👍👍👍
I'm still mesmerized by the 9 equal parts like hOW DOES THAT WORK????
Check the pinned comment's reply, just posted the explanation about this!
Noice. I've looked around the BOS origami convention books are hard to find. Were did you get the diagrams for this? The video is 👍👌

Cool model 👍
This is so perfect wow
Wooooooow 😱 biatful
AMAZING
Amazing 👍
All the models by Fujimoto-san?
Are there any principles to Origami figure-making? I make several shapes but I feel like I can be more independent with the way I fold, to create my own pieces, is there a viable way to learn how to?
I recommend the book "origami design secrets" by Robert J. Lang
@@jonakashima Thank you very much. It's a hobby of mine to fold paper and I look foward to becoming better at it. I'll definitely check it out.😁👍 Great video btw!
It is very good model of origami bro
Elegant!
Awesome, already made one for a friend hehe.
I still miss some of the origami with an action/movement, which is what i make and always have been making over the years, that i have been making origami. Btw, i would love to Know where you are buying your paper from, because of all the websites and stores i have bought from, they are always like 10x10,20.. always want Them to be exact like 10x10 so i dont have to Cut the A4 always
He said that his paper was copper tissue foil from origami shop
