listen girlie, don't ever apologize for doing things your way. If not reusing transfer tape assists you with all of the amazing crafts you are doing it then so be it! You don't owe anyone an explanation. You are such a kind hearted person and I can tell just with the tone of your voice. Also have you changed the way you say measure? Is it due to negative comments? What amazes me most about all of these videos is the amount of prep work so we can basically watch you apply the vinyl. (The fun part)

My craft room doubles as a guest room and the bed is covered with crafts! COVERED! LOL I tried to keep it all put up but, alas, I fell into the Christmas panic mode and now, it's just gotten out of hand. Anyway, I can see it all in front of me and wont forget something. :) Next, the transfer paper? Don't stress about it! I keep it if possible. I do toss it if I don't want to deal with the pieces after I use them. Love all the time you spend sharing with us!

A friend of mine had a great idea of a mini bean bag or bag full of rice to place on your table and place your glass inside so it doesn't roll around on the table as you place your graphic on it! It cradles it just perfectly!

I had to laugh when you said you often lost count of what or how many things you’ve bought this time of year… I also have 3 children and trust me, I’m also at the point where I can’t remember what I’ve bought, how much I have or where I’ve hidden it! Right now my craft area is totally unorganized but I do try to clear my work surface each time a certain project is done. I too like Thanksgiving leftovers too. Seem to taste "better" the next day. I am glad that you are doing a variety of Cricut projects. Not all of us have a heat press (I do not....yet) and tend to skip over those parts. But you are doing some very simple basic vinyl projects that anyone can do. I appreciate that. Oh, and I too am shopping my craft stash. I kept buying and buying and not making anything. You have given me some ideas in this video.....thanks for sharing!

Loved this idea! I haven't started gift crafting yet. In the middle of getting my little boy's nursery ready for his arrival next March. But I will be starting asap. My husband and I are giving little baskets of our fav homemade holiday goodies and I'm going to be decorating tea towels and mugs to go in them. We love homemade gifts! Also, I got a tape dispenser for my heat resistant tape. Thanks for the idea!

I LOVE your videos and get so excited when I see you have a new one up. Typically I don’t like the long videos because they get boring and slow in the middle of them, but not your videos!! Thanks for doing all of the prep work up front. It allows us to see the possibilities and great ideas!! I’m really into embroidery now and I LOVE the satin stitch with bean stitch on top. Hey Bethany something I always do. If I’m using a font, once I’m happy I duplicate and hide before welding or flattening. That way you’ll know later what font you used.
Yes, that's a great idea! I actually don't save any of my projects in Design Space but this is a great tip for others that do!

I'm with you! I hardly ever reuse my transfer tape! What a pain...it's so much easier to just cut a new piece the size you need it! People actually have a problem with this? Wow. Bigger issues people! Bigger issues!!

When I craft I try to pick up after every project. Sometimes it doesn't always work out that way. I only buy gifts for my mom and grandkids. I don't stress out about gifts anymore.

Re: transfer tape - I too use a new piece for each design I'm working on. I've had SO MANY bad experiences reusing it (all kinds of brands, too!) that I just don't mess around with it. Some people can reuse it over and over, but that's just not my experience. I really dislike that we, as crafters, feel the need to try to feel superior by telling another crafter they're doing something wrong or wasting money/resources. One of my other favorite crafts is hand-embroidery (both free-hand and cross stitch) and you often see women giving others a hard time for not using floss efficiently in comments. It's one thing to offer constructive criticism (e.g. - if you do this, you might get a longer life out of your supplies) vs just criticism (e.g. - wow, look at how wasteful you are!). If I see someone doing something in a way that's different from my own, I try to learn WHY they do it because it might make my crafting easier and happier. I'm so sad you had to address it, but understand why you had to. Perhaps in 2022, we could all just be nicer to one another! I know that probably sounds SO CORNY in a world that's filled with cynicism, but all we can do is control our own behavior (that's what I tell my kids all the time! haha!).

So many cute things! I am crazy about the shiplap look, so will have to see if my son can make me a picture frame like that. Also super love the font on the PAPA est... shirt. I don't have a cricut yet. Had one, they sent the wrong color, & I tried to be OK with it but I just wasn't. I wanted my purple lol. Plus I wanted to see how much I could do with my Scan n cut. Anyway, hoping to get my cricut in the next 6 months.

My craft space is always a disaster over the holidays because it also gets used to store our Christmas decoration boxes and storage, so my crafts start to take over the house.
I think you are supposed to put the square edge at the top of the placement device at the shoulder seams.
Oh I ditched those a long time ago, I am much more successful without them. 😂

LOVE your channel! Just a general cricut question (if I may ask), how do you clean your cricut cutting mats and get them to maintain their stickyness?
I actually don't clean my mats at all. I just make sure they are covered when not in use and I don't weed on my mats because the oils from hands can ruin them, in my opinion. With these tips, I rarely have to replace my mats!

In answer to your question...I get overwhelmed when my space is messy too! I do a lot of yarn crafts and am just recently getting into Cricut-ing, so if I let it get too disastrous, I can't focus. I try my hardest to put things away when I am done. I roll up my yarn and toss into color coded bins, so then this way I can see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. I made scarves and hats for the older nieces and I was keeping the yarn all together, so as I finish each girls set...I can see that stock pile getting smaller and it makes me less stressed. I also share my craft space with my work at home space, so in order to do a crafting I have to put that stuff away too!
