There's a book called Hidden Time Wealth, and it talks about how using some secret techniques, you can overcome procrastination and accomplish anything in life. It's not just a bunch of empty promises; it's the real deal.
I like this video, but it's actually so sad to notice that we're now getting so used to scrolling through social media in our free time that we have to watch a video in order to find an inspiration for things one could do instead.
Yes. We have our whole lives and we spend it all on social media. We can do anything. ANYTHING WE WANT. In this world and we spend our time on Tik tok. It's sad
I totally agree. I quitted Tiktok and Instagram (my only socials) a couple of months ago and thanks to this I really realised the hurt that social media leads towards mental health. My creativity has arisen a lot since then, I discovered my love in writing and now I'm more in peace with myself. So life-changing :)
The bad thing about being a teenager on the young side is that my parents don't trust me to do anything in public by myself. E.x. I can't go on a walk around my neighborhood without my older brother, they monitor my spendings, and they also just don't trust my friends in general. So, all I'm left to do is scroll mindlessly through RUclips
YES!!! And when they see you scrolling on your phone for the majority of the day they get mad at you for doing nothing productive like- what do you want me to do???
@rorokai 1412 it really does, because like, I wanna get a job to make some money but I can't until I'm 14 and then I wouldn't be able to get to my job by myself until I'm at least 16 because I can only start trying to get my PERMIT at 15. @@lizzieblouin9582 yup, i’m 16 and you’re totally right! after you’re older than elementary school, there aren’t any summer camps or anything to do that isn’t for little kids. it definitely sucks but it’ll get better in a couple years for you! i’d suggest starting a business for baking or jewelry that you make, something that’s relatively cheap to start with but will probably keep you busy :)
Yo are we twins or something?! Because those are my current interests as well! Haha it's pretty funny but also cool to find someone on the internet who has exactly the same interests as you. I'm currently trying to improve in drawing, have been practicing guitar, skateboarding and watched some anime.
i reccomend finding creative things to do that are relevant to your hyperfixation! i like to do music or draw or write about whatever im into, i have friends who have made 20 page documents about facts on the moon just out of interest. ADHD can be used to do super productive or super creative things- no pressure i know it's really hard but sometimes it makes me feel successful haha
@@laurabid that's some really nice advice, thank you :) However I think it works a bit better for people still in school or uni where it is more acceptable to spend time on yourself. It's really hard to feel productive about extensively researching different ways of baking white bread in order to develop your own recipe for the perfectly fluffy but also sturdy sandwich bread that doesn't contain wheat... When really you're expected to make money, put dinner on the table, take care of responsibilities 🥲
Oh well at least i have some people to relate too. Being creative isn't my thing. The only hobby i have is content making. I am Not the positive type of person either. Anyways mindlessly scrolling begins again!🙂
This was recommended to me at the exact moment I started being more aware of how little I've been doing with my freetime lately. This was very helpful and motivating, I'll be sure to try some of this stuff out!
I feel like we are all constantly realizing the excessive amount of time we spend on things that we don’t feel are meaningful. It’s just a vicious cycle of coming to this realization but then returning, for some reason or another, to these unfulfilling things.
Something that helps me to actually stop the scrolling is moving the location of my social media apps! I was surprised to see how often I click by default, just as muscle memory when I don't know what to do. Be sure to move them around frequently if this is working for you so you don't get used to the new spots
@@thepink3798 the best way, and it may sound like what everything anyone's ever told you, is to literally just delete it. That's also how i stop procrastinating. literally brute force yourself. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go shower.
@@thepink3798 Literally just delete it. I used to have to same problem with being so addicted to tiktok that I was wasting all my time. After deleting tiktok I tried to pick up other hobbies like drawing and crocheting. And I also spent a lot of time on youtube lol. This strategy didn't work the first time I used it but it worked the second :D
I have some organising/decluttering ideas! DIGITAL - Delete emails - Delete photos/screenshots - Organise computer files - Look through your bookmarks/reading list - Delete safari/google tabs (I used to not be able to open a new one cause I had 500 others) - Organise your google drive - Watch videos in your “watch later” playlist - Digitise some papers you don’t want anymore PHYSICAL: - Organise and get rid of stuff in your desk, cupboards, bed side table, bookshelf, etc. - Clean your room (desk, under bed, light switch) - Go through your wardrobe - Go through old pens and chuck ones that don’t work - Empty and clean your bags Most people have something they haven’t done on this list, so go do it! (After posting this I realised that she said most of them, so you now have it in list form)
@D-1 I agree! I hate having to clean things, but organizing shelves and putting stuff in their proper place is actually enjoyable. The mistake people make is doing it with other people, that simply makes it stressful unless you have a massive room.
Try never getting bored of your room. I find decorating it a new way every week or so helps a lot with my creativity and motivation. Print out pictures of any kind (I have a bunch of memes on my wall) and put them up! Get some fairy light and put them where ever you like! And you might as well clean your room while you're at it, maybe even renovate a little! Do this with any room in your house, so next time you bring over a guest you'll have a bunch of things to show them. Side note: if you have trouble with motivation try using the "I might as well" method when cleaning and decorating. You start by maybe cleaning out your desk or making your bed, you might as well vacuum your floor, and then you might as well wash some clothes, and while you wait for your clothes you can do the dishes and vacuum the kitchen, and so on. It works great for me. Try beginning with a shower and ending with a cooked meal of any sort.
I love how this video it’s not just “oh yeah uninstall all the social medias” but instead some of the ideas said here use the platforms you scroll through to stop scrolling

Hi any tips for me i started learning german so ima newbie like any apps for learning any youtube channels any free courses and much more i would love it if you anwer me🌺
@@Flwerrr_lunarosetta stone is expensive but helped me a lot when first starting out. Pimsleur is another app for when you're further advanced, it helps with pronunciation and conversation. Lingvist is a vocab app that helps you learn new vocab. Don't use google translate, it's rarely correct-- I use deepL (if I remember the name right) and reverso context. For online resources, I would say look up the 200 most common nouns, verbs, adjectives, make a quizlet, study them until you know them thoroughly and continue memorizing other vocab. Learn to conjugate verbs. Learn everything to do with gender and grammar rules as soon as possible because it gets complicated. Memorize pronouns in different tenses. Practice your accent by watching native german youtubers speak it and try to replicate it. Also looking up german news websites and reading the articles outloud to yourself is so helpful. Read books, start with children books, underline all the words you don't know and learn them. Watch german movies and put your native language as the subtitles. Learn common idioms. Hope this helped! I know I didn't give specific channels but just one search brings up a lot of reliable sources. German is def a language you can self-teach through online resources because it's so easy to find content.

another idea: learn how to code! it can be daunting at first but start with HTML and css. those are used for website design and the languages get quirky sometimes, but it's nothing that google can't help you with. and you'll know how to make a really pretty website once you learn enough!

yes! i have a really hard time getting myself to do work and stop scrolling through videos and posts, and slowly i start to realise how much time i've wasted. I heard a quote somewhere, "the cost of procrastination is the life you could have lived"
From jan 2023.. - I started decluttering one part of my house or room when I'm free. - I listen to slow music or podcast or may be a minimalism vdo on youtube and do the organizing and decluttering as it doesn't make me bored of the work I'm doing. - I'm loving to journal at night and morning. - I always keep my cupboards clean and organized. - when I use my phone I quickly come back to declutter my phone [ emails, old messages, images, cache files, stuff I don't need on my phone] this helps my phone to work well. - I clean my fridge twice a week. And by listening to a podcast. - I make digital illustration when I'm free but not frequently - I dance when I feel like doing nothing and it helps me so much to cheer up my mood. Since then I only check youtube play something and make my self busy. And I love how this vdo is made. Atleast people can have a realization how much of talent and time we are wasting on internet just by scrolling.
quarantine has felt like forever and whenever i had nothing to do, i feel like i'm required to open my smartphone and atleast find something to do whether i actually want to use it or not (e.g netflix, fb, insta, yt, etc.) it's getting really tough because no matter how much i feel like doing something productive, i feel as though those are the *only* things that i could possibly do. plus the fact that i'm not even usually going out. life lowkey sucks rn

@@laurabid that's some really nice advice, thank you :) However I think it works a bit better for people still in school or uni where it is more acceptable to spend time on yourself. - Organise your google drive

- Digitise some papers you don’t want anymore
PHYSICAL:
- Organise and get rid of stuff in your desk, cupboards, bed side table, bookshelf, etc.
- Clean your room (desk, under bed, light switch)
- Go through your wardrobe
- Go through old pens and chuck ones that don’t work
- Empty and clean your bags

@D-1 i agree
@D-1 I agree! I hate having to clean things, but organizing shelves and putting stuff in their proper place is actually enjoyable. The mistake people make is doing it with other people, that simply makes it stressful unless you have a massive room.
No one is gonna talk about their voice? It’s one of the most calming voices I’ve ever heard.
Seriously, I was so relaxed when she explained
i love it but i cant hear with that high music volume DDD:

I think I'm getting better! the only thing Im on to much is youtube and even then most of the time it's just playing classical music whilst I study! I really needed this though, I have too much free time that I spend just on my computer!
same girl 😢
