I'm listening in July 2021. This song was recorded in 79-80 it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Of course there are some who look at it as offensive but I feel that it's only those who "shrug it off in a religious conation." I attended my first spiritual seminar in Atlanta in the late 80's, a young lady with a voice like a Arch Angel had chosen the song to sing in front of tens of thousands attending. She replaced "woman" and referenced the lyrics to the God of our universe through Christ Jesus and it was spectacular! It touched the hearts and awakened many souls who were open to "what the lyrics was saying and how it was being said through song. Of course some who only wanted to hear it referenced to man and woman were closed & critical but let's face it...we were given a choice & have our own opinion. I see it as each one's minds and hearts being where they are at that time so there's no need for me to judge anyone about a song that inspires some & not others. I believe that God made man in his own image so God is love & it is love that woman & man feels but gets distorted for we are of spirit & flesh therefore flesh is what the world sees when our flesh isn't in sync with our spirits just as our organs in our body are in sync.
