Is the Sabbath Only for Jews? Is the Sabbath a sign of holiness only for the Jews? But how can the Sabbath be only for them when there were no Jews when the Ten Commandments were given. There were in fact no Jews in the world for at least 2,000 years after creation so it is in fact impossible for the Sabbath to be only for them. The Sabbath Commandment itself also states it is for the “stranger” and hence Gentiles also. (Exodus 20:10) In “the new earth … from one Sabbath to another, shall ALL FLESH come to worship before me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 66:22-23. And not forgetting that the other Nine Commandments are not “Just for the Jews.” Does idolatry, murder, stealing, lying, adultery or taking the Lord's name in vain apply only to Jews? Does God have double standards and different laws for different people? Why would He? Romans 9:6-8, Galatians 3:28-29 and Isaiah 41:8 state that those who belong to Christ are Israel today and Abraham's seed. That includes both Jew and Gentile. In Christ we are now all the same. As for 1 Corinthians 14:34 it forbade women to speak in the church due to circumstantial reasons which had happened at Corinthians...this means if you ought to follow it they must come to the service on Sunday or whichever day and go back home without saying even Amen because the bible says "let your women keep silence"...this wasn't told to girls so what are girls gonna do because if they keep quite to whom are they going to direct their questions since they don't have husbands? In as much as there is no single verse which gives man-Murume the right to preach, there is no moral reason to forbid women not to. We must remember that it is the same Paul who wrote all these scriptures as quoted above and Gal 3:28 as well, so 1 Tim 2:8-12 & 1 Corinth 14:34 which Paul wrote addressing some problems arising in these areas, and secondly he wanted to address the issue he explained in Eph 5 that marriage is a drama of Christ and the Church so it was not permissible for their women to have authority over the man since the Church/Woman has no authority over Christ. 2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. Chiwenga’s ideas are as follows: 1. That the law was a trial and error, which God tried and when it had failed, he sent Jesus. 2. That the law itself was deficient, could not achieve the purpose it was sent to do, hence had to be removed; 3. That the law did not apply to non-Israelites. All these are totally false. Lets show how. Was the law an error by God, that he did not know what could work with the Israelites? This idea accuses God of giving Israelites a flawed law then cursing them for failing to keep it. This idea makes our God a monster, who does not know what he is doing, and has no foreknowledge. 1. The law was not a trial and error, it was a blessing, it was holy, just, good, light, lamp, etc. Romans 7:12 King James Version (KJV) 12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. There is nothing incomplete or wrong or bad about the law itself. The other thing to note is that When the NT uses the word law, it means different things depending on context and purpose of the part of the law being referred to. Compare the following John 10:34 points to Psalms 82:6. Christ calls the Psalm a law. But psalms are not normally called laws. 1 Cor 14:21 points to Isaiah 28:11. Paul calls Isaiah the law So it is not as simple as saying wherever the word law appears we understand it to mean the 10 commandments. You need to understand the whole OT and its elements. Also notice that when Paul says Christ is the end of the law, he means the objective/result of the law, what is intended by the law. Notice these verses which use the phrase “end of”. Verse 10 of the same chapter states that if you do break 1 law, you have broken all, are you rightfully keeping the sabbath Are you bringing in sheep 🐑
@@sonofman1550 yes it states that. And the passage does not say because if you break one you break all so don't try to keep any. Rather it says make sure you keep all because you shall be judged by all as they were given by one God. (law of liberty, the Ten Commandments, as indicated by quoting of some of the laws). Whether I am properly keeping it or not, God shall judge me. The point here is, Chiwenga preaches that all the law was nailed to the cross. He says all law is one law and its people who want to differentiate them, which is not true because it's God Himself who called it the Ten Commandments, thus separating them from the rest. What was nailed to the cross were the ceremonial laws which had their sabbaths not the seventh day by Sabbath of the Ten Commandments. That's why you find after the cross the law is still being upheld. James 2:9-14, Romans 13:8-10 and many others. So to take verses that support one side of the argument to the total exclusion of the others that seem to be saying the opposite does not put one in the light/truth.

Insulting others just shows you have a spiritually empty mind. It would help you if you would compare scripture with scripture, because the Word of God doesn't change. If God says it, you better take heed and live, or you perish together with your master.

Is the Sabbath Only for Jews?
Is the Sabbath a sign of holiness only for the Jews? But how can the Sabbath be only for them when there were no Jews when the Ten Commandments were given. There were in fact no Jews in the world for at least 2,000 years after creation so it is in fact impossible for the Sabbath to be only for them.
The Sabbath Commandment itself also states it is for the “stranger” and hence Gentiles also. (Exodus 20:10) In “the new earth … from one Sabbath to another, shall ALL FLESH come to worship before me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 66:22-23. And not forgetting that the other Nine Commandments are not “Just for the Jews.” Does idolatry, murder, stealing, lying, adultery or taking the Lord's name in vain apply only to Jews? Does God have double standards and different laws for different people? Why would He? Romans 9:6-8, Galatians 3:28-29 and Isaiah 41:8 state that those who belong to Christ are Israel today and Abraham's seed. That includes both Jew and Gentile. In Christ we are now all the same. There is in fact a law that was only for the Jews and it was called the “Mosaic Law” or the “Book of the Law” or to be even clearer, the “sacrificial law.” This law was only for the Jews as the Gospel did not go to the Gentiles until 3.5 years after the cross. The sacrificial law ended at the cross as Jesus became our one and final perfect sacrifice. And to state the obvious, the Mosaic Laws were written in the Mosaic Law and the Ten Commandments were written in The Ten Commandment law. Jews worshipping on the SabbathThe Lord's Sabbath is the fourth Commandment. And if His Sabbath was Jewish or to end at the cross, God would have written it in this Jewish law. But no, God wrote it in His eternal Ten Commandment moral law that is for everyone. See the Ten Commandments and the Mosaic Law for a detailed comparison of these two laws.
There are also multitudes of Christians who call the Sabbath the “Jewish Sabbath.” Yet nowhere in the Bible do we find such an expression. It is called “the Sabbath of the Lord,” but it is never called “the Sabbath of the Jews.” In writing the Ten Commandments, God called it “the Sabbath of the Lord.” (Exodus 20:10)
Despite the fact there were no Jews when the Ten Commandments were given, let's go back even further in time anyway. The “children of Israel” whom God was angry with, for not keeping the Seventh Day as the Sabbath in Exodus 16, were not Jews. They were Abraham's seed just as we are. Note the following inspired text: “if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:29. All born again Christians are the true Israel today and have been sanctified unto God. Thus, the Sabbath is for anyone who is Christ's regardless of the other facts given that also reveal this old fallacy.
And even further back in time. The concept of a Saturday holy day of rest is understood and practiced by virtually every culture from Babylon through modern times. Our English day names are pagan in origin but in more than one hundred nations of the world, Saturday is still called the Sabbath to this very day, just as God named it at creation. The Babylonian language existed hundreds of years before the Hebrews was founded by Abraham and yet the name of the seventh day means Sabbath further revealing it is not just for the Jews. This historical evidence confirms the Biblical teaching that God's seventh day Sabbath predates Judaism and can be easily traced back to Babel in Genesis chapter 11. Adam and Eve of course were not Jewish either. “God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it.” (Genesis 2:3) Sanctified means “to be set apart for holy use.” Adam and Eve were the only ones in Eden to “Sanctify” the Sabbath and this was before sin. Marriage was also instituted at the same time as the Sabbath and yet no one says marriage is just for the Jews! Think about it.
Anti Sabbatarians often argue that the Sabbath was not made at creation but scripture proves this wrong also. The Hebrew word for “rested” in Genesis 2:3 is “shabbath” and means Sabbath and further proof it existed before sin and hence was part of God's eternal and perfect plan. And for even further evidence it existed from creation. Exodus 31:17 says, “It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever:..” And why is the Sabbath a sign forever? Because, “...in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested [shabbath], and was refreshed.” Parentheses are added. And like Genesis 2:3 the word “rested” in Exodus 31:17 is also “Shabbath” and hence says that God rested on the Sabbath after creating and was refreshed.
As seen many times now, it is an absolute impossibility for the Sabbath to be only for the Jews and thus anyone quoting this heresy is either very ignorant of scripture or does not have a love of the truth. Read was the Sabbath made only for the Jews for more information.

On first note there is neither man nor female who is allowed to preach, the preaching is done by Christ through the Holy Spirit in the spirit of a man. Remember a man is asexual because he is a spirit Gen 1:26-28. Secondly Galatians 3:28 says that there is neither female nor male in him because we are one. We have Priscilla (female in the physical stature) Acts 18 :24-28 who preached to Apollos, Romans 16 Paul gave a list of many women who ministered together with Him. As for 1 Corinthians 14:34 it forbade women to speak in the church due to circumstantial reasons which had happened at Corinthians...this means if you ought to follow it they must come to the service on Sunday or whichever day and go back home without saying even Amen because the bible says "let your women keep silence"...this wasn't told to girls so what are girls gonna do because if they keep quite to whom are they going to direct their questions since they don't have husbands? In as much as there is no single verse which gives man-Murume the right to preach, there is no moral reason to forbid women not to. We must remember that it is the same Paul who wrote all these scriptures as quoted above and Gal 3:28 as well, so 1 Tim 2:8-12 & 1 Corinth 14:34 which Paul wrote addressing some problems arising in these areas, and secondly he wanted to address the issue he explained in Eph 5 that marriage is a drama of Christ and the Church so it was not permissible for their women to have authority over the man since the Church/Woman has no authority over Christ.

Paul's letters must be read with all soberness and with understanding. Women are not forbidden from preaching. Both man and women, we are just but containers/vessels being used by Christ.

Chiwenga’s ideas are as follows:
1. That the law was a trial and error, which God tried and when it had failed, he sent Jesus.
2. That the law itself was deficient, could not achieve the purpose it was sent to do, hence had to be removed;
3. That the law did not apply to non-Israelites.
All these are totally false. Lets show how.
Was the law an error by God, that he did not know what could work with the Israelites? This idea accuses God of giving Israelites a flawed law then cursing them for failing to keep it. This idea makes our God a monster, who does not know what he is doing, and has no foreknowledge.

This is a blessing to Israel.
Jesus was slain from the foundation of the earth (Rev 13:8), before the law was given to Israel. Therefore the law is part and parcel of the plan of salvation, and Jesus is not an after thought necessitated by the failure of the law.
2. The law was not deficient, but the covenant was, because Israel could not hold to their side of the bargain, i.e. they failed to keep a holy law because of lack of faith.

Exodus 12:49, Leviticus 7:7; Numbers 15:16; Number 15:29 they all tell us that there was one law for both Israel and non-Israel.

We also know that God expected all the nations to live by his law. For example, Nineveh were he sent Jonah to preach to them to repent from their sins. Nineveh was gentile nation, they had no covenant with God, but God expected them to repent from their sins, defined by God’s law and preached by one who knew God’s law.
The nations that were removed from before Israel, were removed because they live not according to God’s law. They did things God commanded Israel not to do.
4. The new covenant, the covenant of Jesus, the covenant of writing the same law to the hearts of Israel, was promised to Israel and to Israel alone, because true Israel is one that is Israel by faith, so believes are the True Israel.
Jeremiah 31:33 - But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
This is fulfilled in Hebrews, again only to Israel.

So we are Israel, and the law was given to us, as a holy light, a lamp, a blessing to us, because God did not make a mistake with the law.
The other thing to note is that When the NT uses the word law, it means different things depending on context and purpose of the part of the law being referred to.
Compare the following
John 10:34 points to Psalms 82:6. Christ calls the Psalm a law. But psalms are not normally called laws.
1 Cor 14:21 points to Isaiah 28:11. Paul calls Isaiah the law
So it is not as simple as saying wherever the word law appears we understand it to mean the 10 commandments. You need to understand the whole OT and its elements.
Also notice that when Paul says Christ is the end of the law, he means the objective/result of the law, what is intended by the law.
Notice these verses which use the phrase “end of”. It does not mean end of as we understand the word end today.

Leaving out other verses that talk about the same topic does not leave you standing on the truth but in error. James 2:11,12 clearly states which laws shall be used to Judge us. @@sonofman1550 yes it states that. And the passage does not say because if you break one you break all so don't try to keep any. Rather it says make sure you keep all because you shall be judged by all as they were given by one God. (law of liberty, the Ten Commandments, as indicated by quoting of some of the laws). Whether I am properly keeping it or not, God shall judge me. The point here is, Chiwenga preaches that all the law was nailed to the cross. He says all law is one law and its people who want to differentiate them, which is not true because it's God Himself who called it the Ten Commandments, thus separating them from the rest. What was nailed to the cross were the ceremonial laws which had their sabbaths not the seventh day by Sabbath of the Ten Commandments. That's why you find after the cross the law is still being upheld. James 2:9-14, Romans 13:8-10 and many others.
So to take verses that support one side of the argument to the total exclusion of the others that seem to be saying the opposite does not put one in the light/truth.

It would help you if you would compare scripture with scripture, because the Word of God doesn't change. It will remain as it is and judge you on that day of judgement. The insults won't help you escape it's judgement. If God says it, you better take heed and live, or you perish together with your master.
