Hi indiahikes why are u making us tempting to go on treks. As we are currently in lockdown and too in monsoon lockdown. We are feeling very very bad we could not do treks this monsoon. After seeing your videos we r getting happy and expecting all the treks would be open soon. #indiahikes
1. Forest->Meadows->Summit + Fluorescent Green Meadows = Andharban Trek (Western Ghats, Maharashtra) => Duration Only 01 day/13 km.. 2. Forest-> Meadow->Summit -> Repeat+Fluorescent Green Meadows = Bhimashankar Trek (Western Ghats, Maharashtra) => Duration 2 days n approx. 9 km.. These are the most beautiful treks that I had a chance to complete and rever in the monsoon beauty of lush Western Ghats..If possible, please do cover them in one of your upcoming videos...
Very good question Rohan. You will have to reach a day before to the Mundolli village and take permission for the next day. It is going to cost Rs. 500 per person. You can take your own tent and pitch them in one of the many camping ground by the homestays. They usually charge you minimally. We have explained all of this in detail in the next video on HOW TO PLAN THE KUDREMUKHA TREK. Vishnu talk about the travel, camping, permission, food and stay at the Kudremukha trek. Stay tuned :)
The trek is not open right now. You will not be given permission to enter the district itself. The local police and the locals themselves have become quite strict. They are not allowing anyone from the main cities to enter. Give it a bit more time. May be by September you can go do the trek. Hopefully.
