After watching so many viral reels of this place me and my friends finally decided to go for this trek. Situated in Chikmagalur right beside Kudremukh this peak is gaining popularity day by day. Pepper Areca and coffee are the main agriculture produces. This place is at border of chikmaglur and South Canara districts and right spot to trek to Kudremukh Kurinjal Netravati and Gangadikal. If budget stay is ur plan, Malvantige Estate is the place 👌

Hey Shrunal...what a beatiful trek this is !! The views are simply mesmerizing ! Very well shot and presented video. Can you please tell me, if it is good to trek here during December last week ? Will we get the same kind of scenery during this time ? I mean the water streams, falls, the beautiful views, etc. I am asking this, since June - September is the recommended time for this treak.

I don’t think you’ll get any flow of water at this time but yes it will be green and the views from the top will be surreal. Nevertheless it’s an all season trek and the experience will be amazing if you start early morning 👍

I had been there post monsoon In the month of October and it’s an intermediate level trek not so hard 👍

I don't think you have been robbed.I am the NSS president of our institution, we went through the forest department of Belthangady and we were informed that the entry and trekking charge combined was about ₹500.We applied for 100 percent concession on grounds of student criteria and got the same.While taking permission, we were also told that for every 10 members there must be one guide (₹1000) (we were 60 so 6 guides). However during the climb we only went with 2 officials of the forest department (they did not charge anything).We hired 3 pickups (Bolero) which could fit 20 people and the round trip cost ₹6000 (same price as in your case). Overall, the forest department was really friendly towards us.The place was breathtaking.In terms of challenge you can give it 6/10.

Advice :
Don't make the mistake of not taking the jeep (2000Rs) because the base camp would be minimum 8 km from your stay. And the 2000Rs is worth it because the roads are too steep. If you don't take the jeep, the trek becomes 2.5 times. Thanks and all the best :)
