Growing up, my family visited cemeteries wherever we went. I find them quiet and peaceful.

I like the travel blogs AND sewing content. We visited the tenement museum years ago because you're right; working class history is harder to find.

My brother's long time part-time job starting in college, was driving for a funeral home. He majored in history.
A special father daughter activity is to go to cemeteries, pick random headstones, then head to the library, the historical society, and internet to build a biography

The fabric stores in the garment district were amazing and some overwhelming. It was incredible seeing the amount of detailing, lace and ribbons that were available. I felt exhausted automatically just looking at some of the stores. I also enjoyed your tour of the Green-wood cemetery. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!

Looks like a fun trip. It’s been years since I’ve been to nyc. I did mostly the standard things - Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island etc etc etc. it’s a great city and glad you had fun!!!

Hi Haley Marie. I really enjoyed your New York trip. I loved seeing central park and the crematorium really relaxing places. I don't blame you for getting over whelmed by everything I myself would of done too.

I spent $2000 at Mood in LA this year...and it's smaller! I admit I was buying for a BIG historical project for 4 family members, but there was so much wonderful stuff!

I would have so, so loved this video a month ago. Go figure. Lol. I went to New York and only had a few hours to shop for fabric, so watching this would have been helpful. LOL. The world is so silly sometimes. I also went to that exact sleeve exhibit! So that made me squeal a bit inside. I had a lovely time, and I'm glad you also had an amazing time. Our assesments are definitely the same. New York is awesome. But not the kind of awesome I'd live in.

All the Toronto Fabric stores are more like H&M Fabrics... Be forewarned if you plan on shopping here. I always want to find a corner and settle in for a nap 😂
