They are "snow" goggles alright. There are two types of "comedians in recovery." The theo von type and the tim dillion type, i'll let you fill in the blanks
I am not extremely religious but I feel like ever since Christmas got super secular in the mid 2010s it doesn’t feel like a celebration or a festive time. It just feels like green and red season where we get to have off of work. It really feels like there is something major missing and I think it is that overhanging religiousity of Christmas
Outside of Fox News fantasies, Christmas is as Christian as it was in 1994, 2004, or 2014. It's just placebo effect of being told "it's just not Christmas anymore" for twenty years straight.
@ yeah sorry but I have eyes and ears and can see the world around me, I don’t watch Fox News so I don’t know what you mean. It is clearly more secular now than it was 10-20 years. Just watch any Christmas movie from the 80s 90s and even the 2000s. There are very prevalent themes about the religious meaning of Christmas. For example, Home Alone has a very prominent scene that takes place in a church. The only major Christmas movie I can think of from that time that doesn’t feature these themes is Elf. It’s also evident by what they play on the radio. I live in Philly and many of the major radio stations stopped playing any religious songs for Christmas and that was in the 2010s when they did that. And a lot of the secular music is just tepid crap that could be any other pop song. Christmas music has a very distinct sound to it and it is being replace by generic sounding music.
@@calvinhobbes7032 I'm much father from the Bible belt and up in Boston our radio stations were chock full of hymns. I heard a "Come all ye faithful" top ten. You're right, Frosty the Snowman, The Grinch, and Santa Claus is coming to town are just chock full of religious dogma. You don't actually have to watch Fox or MSNBC to be infected by their brain rot, you hear their sentiment repeated enough times, you start to believe it. It's similar to people being upset about a billion dollars in shoplifting while ignoring the trillion dollars in wage theft. It's because one of them is presented as a rising problem, the other isn't.

Do everyday Americans value these “cultural” examples like the ones Vivek cites? “Saved by the Bell”???? Are you frick’n serious???
Indeed, it's no coincidence two people who massively benefitted from migration to the States are allying against MAGAs 'America First' policy. Vivek was a fraud all along and he outted himself before even being given his new government job. The real question to ask was who decided to dumb down the American education system to make it completely uncompetitive against Europe, China, South Korea, India and Japan? It only excels at college level with the gold standard Ivy League universities. The argument then could be made that the best students are from abroad and need to be offered visas to benefit corporate America @MrJimmy1717
As far as I see it we have two options. Either accept authoritarianism from our one party system. Or stand together as a class and have a sequel of France around the 1780s
As someone who was affected by the H1B visa program, what happens is it incentivize as large companies to pay lower wages for a job and just state that they couldn't find any American to fill the job. Yeah we couldn't find anybody to fill this position that we only want to pay $86,000 a year for with no benefits on a 1099 so we had to hire an Indian when if the job were an American job they would have to pay 150 full benefits. It allows the companies to offer jobs at a much lower rate than any American would take
And keep them on a two year contract so they can’t move. Same thing in healthcare in Ireland. They are bullied by the senior staff, and some are completely unsuited to the work. They struggle to find a place to live. It is exploitation refined to purpose.
Yep. My field is a bit more niche (Aerospace), which usually requires citizenship and multiple security clearances---but if I decide to go anywhere near the "other" side of tech, the competition suddenly becomes insane because you have so many people who are willing to work at any FAANG company for free. The crazy part is, if you one day decide to pack up and go to a different country as an American--a lot of companies won't even glance at you and it will be a constant legal uphill battle. Yet we're making it easier for them to come over here. Skilled labor is basically on its way to becoming "outsourced" now.

It's the economy. People do not have "Disposable Income" like they used to. Party City closing among others(Fridays, Lumber Liquidators, Rubios...) Just food and living expenses (Electricity, Heating, Gas...) are taking up peoples income. I understand restaurants and small businesses are hurting because people aren't coming like they used to.
Yup a lot of it comes down to economy. The biggest common issue in relationships is financial problems so that leads to higher divorce rates breaking down the family structure and that is if people are even having kids. Many are opting out of it or waiting later in life as they see it as unaffordable. You know your country has failed you when people see having children as a burden and would rather abort them than face the financial burdens.

We aren't talking about average people either way, so that dig is irrelevant. The average people in every country are lazy and degenerate. We're talking about the best and brightest, and as a physics professor I can tell you that there is no shortage of talented minds in America, the kind of person who launched my career by teaching myself calculus at 16 (not that that's impressive, we need thinkers, not calculators), all this immigration is just to suppress wages and sustain the debt scheme. Elon and Vivek are smooth brained business people who talk about "tech skills" without the slightest understanding of what higher STEM is.
The first few minutes of the show was talking about everyone being lazy and giving up 😂

Best Christmas ever
I think is too hot. It doesn't feel like winter, at least here in Texas
I am not extremely religious but I feel like ever since Christmas got super secular in the mid 2010s it doesn’t feel like a celebration or a festive time. It just feels like green and red season where we get to have off of work. It really feels like there is something major missing and I think it is that overhanging religiousity of Christmas
I went to Christmas mass this year for that exact reason. It was really nice. Lots of young families.
@@calvinhobbes7032
I'm much father from the Bible belt and up in Boston our radio stations were chock full of hymns.

Tech bros haven’t even ended their love affair with censorship, now they require foreign scabs for entry level work 😂
It's the economy.
All the middle and high paying jobs are reserved for foreigners. CEO pay has increased 3000% while avg worker pay increased 12%. companies are pulling record profits and continue replacing Americans with H1B.
