In high level competitions it's actually not that stressful because everyone knows what they're doing. It is way more stressful with casual pilots because they usually act randomly😅
@@flyingplmyea, I’m sprint league that i fly in, we usually have between 30-40 pilots, and mostly p3’s and to score points you can’t be flying anything above a B, so majority of pilots are flying high-B’s with the exception of some of the more experienced pilots flying C’s ir higher just flying for practice and not receiving points. But there’s a lot of pilots like myself with 100 hours or less so the gaggles get pretty scary, people try to join in the wrong direction or just fly straight through the gaggle. I usually leave the start gaggle before reaching the ceiling because when everyone starts to hit the top of lift it gets really crowded and the inversion where I fly gets very turbulent most days. I try to find my own thermal and usually can, but as soon as I do all the other pilots descend on me like flies on shit so I get stuck in another disorganized cluster fck of a gaggle. It’s good practice though.
