@ BGC is a beautiful place and one of developed city in Manila it is recommendable place to visit if you’re staying somewhere in Manila, just one thing, you need to be aware that cost of living there is quite expensive compare to other places here in the Philippines. However, it’s still a nice place to visit, Chillin around while having a nice cup of coffee ☕️
Great video John. my name is also John, born in Colchester, also 62 years old - seriously. If this is your first vlog, you are doing very well. You've earned a follower for your efforts.
Hi John, I'm down in Kent and used to live in Maldon in the 1990s! 100% its my first attempt at vlogging and I was just using my phone. I managed to get 10 vlogs done in 3 weeks and will uplaod them weekly going forwards. My greatest worry was editing. I have struggled when I practiced before, but now use Capcut and find it so much easier to use. Just upgraded to pro version.
@@JohnMichaelVlogs01 I use the free video editor that comes with Windows 11, called Clipchamp.....it's very straight forward. They are all resource hungry. I lived most of my childhood to teens, in a place called New Morden in Surrey, before emigrating to New Zealand. I have also looked at retiring to the Philippines. The main stumbling block for me is missing out of free healthcare. So I looking now at spending 6 months in each country. I love Kent, beautiful countryside.
Thanks John for the video. You are one of very many travellers who are taking a Chinese airline via China to another destination in Asia thanks to attractive ticket prices and the shorter flight over Russia. When you return home check with your agent whether or not you would get EU261 compensation for the outward flight cancellation.
Thanks for the comment. I did check and they said that all the airline has to do is get me on the next available flight which they did. So looks like no compensation. And to be fair to Air China, (I didn't know this at the time of filming), the original flight was actually a code share with another airline so it wasn't Air China who cancelled the flight.
@@JohnMichaelVlogs01 Ah that explains it. With a code-share service it's the operating carrier who is responsible. Your travel agent ought to have named the operator before you purchased the ticket. Still at least you travelled safely (along with your luggage) to Manila.
@@alexmcwhirter6611 yeah, they didn't tell me. It wasn't until I checked the history I noticed a different flight code and then spotted it was a codeshare.
