Hi there. It depends where you live. Some countries check the presence of fault codes on mot I.e claofornia. Not an issue in the uk. There is no performance benefit to deleting the system. Its less weight - better airflow round the engine and easier to work on the engine in the future

@@dragonshadow3707 I did my brothers 4 weeks ago, the parts aren't even available in the UK, u need inlet manifold gaskets, chain set, sealant for the timing cover, the water pump I would change while ur in as well as alternator belt and tensioner. If your going to tackle it urself u need the timing tools, fuel pipe removal tool and a puller to remove the crank pulley over and above your normal tool set. Good luck m8

Thanks the expaining video. Just ordered a plates from you for my 2.8 👍
Saabmadman, the valve on the back side...is there a heat shield on it that covers the 2 bolts going into the manifold?
No . Nothing covering it. You can access it without removing the manifold heathsield
Where did you get your strut brace from?
Whats the reason for doing this ? No dtc ?
SAI is used for heating catalytic converter when engine is cold, it's just weight, piping, and electrical stuff which isn't needed on modded cars.
How hard is it to get rhe blocking plate on the rear manifold?
Not hard atall once you got the vacuum pipes and ecu off.
Would you advise keeping all this stuff in a stock daily car?
