    This was a straightforward spark plug installation. One thing I always do is use compressed air to blow out the holes before removing the plugs. In fact best to loosen the plugs about one turn and then blow out the holes to remove dirt that settles in there. Amazing what dirt can fall in there even if they are "sealed." You don't want to take the chance of grit getting into your cylinders.

    Excellent tutorial I have found a hose about 8-10 inches long to work over the end of spark plug to remove once loose. This gets you around the obstructing bar.

      That’s a great idea. I hope others read your comment so they don’t have to remove the middle/center bar. Thank you for sharing! -Rjeff H2H 👍

    Looking forward to your leak fix. , my 2002 tracker leaks on driver’s side when we have a heavy rain, also I am a new subscriber 👍

      Hello! Thank you for subscribing. I dont have enough video footage for the windshield repair to make a diy. My apologies for that. But two things to check. If you had your windshield replaced, checked if they were put correctly as they might have gaps. To test this, put transparent duct tape around the windshield to stop the leak. The other one is the drain channels at the base of the windshield might be clogged. Check for leaves and debris around the base, and even the engine area. If they are clogged, water will pool and spill over inside the drive side area well. Hope that helps!-Rjeff H2H

    You need a flathead screwdriver or special tool to remove(pulls and presses release tab unknowingly…)

    • @How2Helen
      @How2Helen  2 года назад +1

      Lol. I meant to use a flathead screwdriver or pick tool in conjunction with pressing the tabs, so that the tabs do not break off. Sometimes, the tabs become stuck and would not release by themselves. Anyway, my apologies. I should have mentioned the release tabs. Thank you for pointing that out - Rjeff H2H

      @@How2Helen Yup, I noticed that too, basically put flat screwdriver under, gently lift up while pressing the tab and pulling. Nice video.

    Awesome Video, I have never changed spark plugs before and this informed me enough to tackle this project alone. Have you ever ran into your windshield wipers and radio quitting on you at the same time? 2002 GEO Tracker 4cyl 2.0L

      @How2Helen  2 года назад

      Hello, I do hope the video is detailed enough that you are able to follow it. I tried my best to record every step of the process.
      On your wiper/radio issue, check/trace the signal light stalk wiring going to the fuse box. I had the same issue with a different vehicle. It turned out that there were exposed wire touching near the fuse box that when I turn the signal light on, it jumps to the other wires it is coming in contact with.
      Additional info, check if you have water leak on your windshield dripping into your driver left side footwell. Water might be shorting the wires in the left side footwell. To test water leak, tape around the outside windshield with transparent duct tape to prevent water leak going inside the cabin. Let me know if that helps. I am curious what is causing the short. Please keep me posted!-Rjeff H2H
