"The future of this country is in our hands."
This version of Godzilla is truly amazing! I also really liked how the film showed the characters and their interactions with each other.
Incredible movie!

This is THE Godzilla film I've been waiting for over fifty years. A character-driven film that brilliantly weaves real historical events with intelligent story telling and believable drama. Genuinely moving....
This film did terror, dread, destruction and awe to an incredible degree.
I felt the power of Gozilla.
Godzilla is a true force of nature that has forever changed the world.
The shot of him roaring in front of the mushroom cloud gave me chills. It's such a perfect scene since he's an allegory for the nuclear bomb to begin with.
@@ianthrasher471 - I was worried about him when that happened. Just going about his day and suddenly a gigantic explosion happens and he’s engulfed in it.
1000% agree
Nope to the power of four.
Quite easily one of my favorite Godzilla films ever and I don't even say this often... but potentially one of my favorite films of all time! It's that damn good. This film deserves all the praise that it's gotten last year and I'm positive that its legacy will continue to live on for the years to come just like its predecessor. Long live the king of the monsters.
The human element was gripping too, Godzilla disappears for like an hour and I didn't mind.
@@jonbaxter2254 Completely agree! Funny enough, display Godzilla not having that much screentime... I still felt his presence throughout the movie because of the characters initially interactions with him. That just shows how sometimes less is more to help make a story great.
Way better than the legendary verse movies. Godzilla is supposed to be a menace to humanity not a hero
@@maiqtheliar3502 Toho have literally done 'good guy' Godzilla more times than they've made him evil
@@maiqtheliar3502 Gotta agree with Lux here. In fact, Toho is the one who made the heroic Godzilla from the beginnings of the franchise. So if you wanna blame someone for making Godzilla a "good guy"... then you might as well blame the one's who created him in the first place.
This movie made me appreciate life... I'm glad I'm still alive to see this masterpiece.
I genuinely believe this film tops the 1954 original; its anti-war and pro-life messages are far stronger than the original’s anti-nuclear one, Godzilla’s design is excellent and him partly representing Shikishima’s guilt is perfect writing and the way he defeats Godzilla is perfect symbolism of him overcoming his guilt, the film is shot beautifully, the colour grading is spot on and beautifully reflects post-WWII Japan, the CGI is impeccable, the human characters are genuinely some of the best in the entire franchise and not one of them felt dull… I could honestly go on and on. No wonder it won an Oscar.
The original is just as dark if not more so than this film, but while I would still recommend the original to new Godzilla fans to help them understand where he came from and what he represented initially, I can confidently recommend this over the original to literally anybody because I think it can appeal to a much wider audience and it’s somehow far easier to sit through despite how gut-wrenching it is. Plus I feel like modern audiences are far more willing to sit through a modern film compared to a much older one.
The audience I sat with didn’t just include Godzilla fans, but also children, families, an elderly couple and average movie-goers. Godzilla is getting the respect he’s been needing for literal decades and it feels surreal that this niche special interest of mine that I’ve had for 10+ years now is being more and more widely recognised as the years go on. There’s literally never been a better time to be a Godzilla fan.
Long live the king 🩵
Even after seeing this film three times I'm confident in saying this is easily one of if not THE BEST Godzilla movie so far. Hopefully people use this as an inspiration. Just because your movie has a monster in it, doesn't mean it can't be PEAK cinema.
How did u watch it?
@@user-yd9rv7js8wavailable streaming (for some platform), you can pirate it tho.
@@user-yd9rv7js8wtrust me nobody's going to answer that on here for whatever reason lol
This version of Godzilla looks awesome
What a great time to be a Godzilla fan. GxK and Minus One delivered in spades
Greatest Godzilla movie of our era, truly a masterpiece
So easy to see why Hollywood did not want this released for streaming or rental until their movie was released. This is the REAL DEAL !
Both Minus One and GXK are real deals. They portray both sides of what Godzillais
Pretty sure that was Toho's decision
@@lux4163real
Nah that’s not the reason why, it’s just due to licensing.
I know Hollywood’s shitty…but that lack of release to streaming is because of Toho being Toho.
Godzilla: An ancient creature that always kept to himself on his island. Then humanity started a war that turned him into a monster. That monster then brought his own war to humanity.
This Goji may be smaller than other versions but that regeneration and atomic breath is just formidable.
This Godzilla has no titan rivals whatsoever with his atomic breath alone. And I like this Godzilla universe, where he's the one and only, and a force to be reckoned with.
legendary goji would be able to tank the breath tho, legendary goji would just get more power from the heat ray because its a nuclear explosion, but i do like minus godzilla more.
Minus one imo has got to be the best Godzilla film to have come out. It’s such a perfect balance of a human cast u get invested in while having amazing monster action. It pretty much set the standard for Godzilla movies going forward but I do hope with it success it breeds a modern day heisei era
One of the best Godzilla films?? it's one of the best films, period! And it's absolutely the best Godzilla film ever made.
The first Godzilla movie where I actually cared about the humans.
I AM A BIG FAN OF MONSTERVERSE MOVIES & HEISEI ERA GODZILLA MOVIES
@@mgm7321 same bro. Only Godzilla film where I did care about at least one human was Godzilla against mechagodzilla. Akane was one of my favorite characters but minus one legit made me care about the entire cast
If I have to wait till summer to get this box set. I will. Hollywood KNOWS this is The CLASSIC of all!! Why it won a OSCAR, will go down as best ever STORY made. To the KING!♥️🍷
Just watched this yesterday, what an excellent movie
How did you watch it? I've only seen it out in Japan, and over there it has no English subtitles.
Yes. How?
@@ChosenProverbits release on prime. (I think only in japan)
@@itzjustinhere There isn't any English subtitles in it.
There are a few bootlegs out there.
It's the best Godzilla movie ever. Sadly, I couldn't watch it on the big screen because they never released it in my country.
The Boat Chase Sequence is EPIC
何度見てもこのゴジラ-1.0は凄い
People when they see MonsterVerse Godzilla: oh yeah, he is here boys, I know there is going to be casualty but damn, can't deny this dude is kinda cool though
People when they see Minus One Godzilla: *oh hell no, not him..... NOT HIM*
One of the best movies I’ve ever seen, period
'GODZILLA: -1' Is On My Top 10 List Of Favorite Films. Epic Film & Truly Something To Behold...
One of the best movies in this genre I have ever seen
Finally got a chance to watch it.
Awsome Godzilla Best looking CGI
GREAT!
This movie is probably one of the best movies of all time, I mean this is so good it balances human characters and monster action. It’s perfect, I saw it once in the theater and I loved it and I saw GXK and that was great too. The films are completely different, but I love them both. Hopefully these movies keep growing! ❤. Long live the KING 👑
I did actually watch this via VPN. No subtitles and completely in Japanese. Awesome movie even though I was unsure of the dialog.
I watched that movie yesterday (don't ask how) with my friends and it was amazing!
I’m assuming not at the theater😂
🏴☠️
@@polskarkit's not release worldwide (Or he's lazy about going to the theater)
Easily one of the finest sci-fi films of this century so far.
Honestly I think this is the greatest Godzilla movie of all time because unlike most others, it's actually made like a proper film. I know that's a weird way to put it but here's the thing. It uses actual smart film talent and direction, so many shots of this movie stand out even when godzilla is not on screen. Every other Godzilla film while I do enjoy them never truly felt like a FILM. Even shin godzilla which is a great movie too, just came across "odd". Which wasn't bad, it's great in it's own way. I just think Minus one is the greatest because it's made so well you could show this movie to a non godzilla fan and have them either become a complete fan or just being like that danny devito meme "i finally get it".
This video had me focused the whole time, a great video for an incredible movie, good job
I patiently waited for this film to release on streaming. And it was well worth the wait. Easily the best Godzilla movie to date. Amazing character arcs and world building. And of course one of the dopest Godzillas ever.
Hollywood needs to take MULTIPLE pointers from this film.
Your edits are always so on point crusade!! This is definitely no exception, it went through the more harrowing and dark moments of the film. As this film brought back the fear and overall message of said monster back!!
It presented gojira in such a terrifying but realistic point of view. I remember being on the edge of my seat watching it in the theater!!
Koichi was the true representation of the indomitable human spirit. He overcame his PTSD and war trauma to take out said creature!! Just a perfect movie overall...👌👌✨🦎🦎🔥🔥
ADOREEEEEEEE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯💯💯💯💯💯
Outstanding video!
Thank you so much!
GOJIRA MINUS ONE is the best Godzilla film other than (SHIN GOJIRA and GOJIRA 1954)

日本の商業映画が世界に打って出た、日本映画界にとっての記念碑的作品。
This movie's story touched me in a way I was not expecting. My admiration for Japan and the Japanese people for bringing such an elegant and heartful film like this, even though It is fiction, to the entire world is truly a gift. The Japanese are truly special people. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece with the world. 🙇🏻🙏🏻

I didn't make this movie, but I'm very happy to hear that. Thank you. Since I was a child, I grew up watching great movies such as, Independence Day, Terminator 2, and The Karate Kid. I think the history of these great movies gave birth to this movie. Director Takashi Yamazaki himself said that he wanted to be a film director after watching Star Wars, and that he was inspired by Spielberg's works and other great movies.

Great movie
The only bad thing about Godzilla Minus One is... It's not even worldwide
This is probably the closest we'd get to a film about Imperial Japan and the harsh reality of it all
Well not exactly...I mean sure it touched souly on Japan's suffering, but it literally turned a blind eye to the monstrus horrors Japan itself commited.
Sure the bombing was horrible, but let's not forget the atrocities committed by Japan, specifically the slaughtering of 20,595,000 men women and childern. I recall it was about bout 200,000 Filipinos, and some 300,000 people in 'The Rape of Nanking', + the torturing and mutilating of millions of people in the most horrific ways possible.
@@uvl.g5611that was what GMK was about wasn’t it?
@Whenwhereeverywhere Yeah kind of.
But even GMK didn't dare to actually mention it. It only vaguely mentions the angry vengeful souls of the dead from WWII, and the unclassified 'stuff' that Japan prefers to forget.
Sadly, this phenomenon isn't limited to the films. Schools in Japan literally don't teach anything about Japan's crimes against humanity. They literally skip directly to Hiroshima.
@@uvl.g5611 yes, it would be cool to see a Godzilla movie more focused on japan’s atrocities
The best godzilla movie ever and by farrrrr
I can't wait for a part 2
Erm they kill Godzilla thus part 2 ???

Thank you so much!
Amazing edit! Great job.
I tried to post a clip of the boat chase scene & immediately the video got blocked due to copyright. Like, dang...
amazing. i’m not typing an essay it’s 3 am
This was probably the best godzilla movie i've ever seen. Search a movie movie and also just very well done. The human element was moving emotional. Just a amazing acting by all of the actors. Godzilla was a menace for sure. I saw it twice in theaters and I was on the edge of my seat every time it was so good. The atomic breath blows away Anything of that legendary pictures have ever done. I can't wait to get this on 4K
Loved every single thing about this movie, the tone, the look and feel, and an angry, scary, beast of Godzilla.
But most of all, the very end, when he was starting to regenerate, you knew there was more to come one day.
Godzilla looks menacing in this.
I hope more clips come
I can't wait for this to release on Blu-ray in the US. I'm gonna be first in line to pre-order.
WOW!!!!!!!! DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!
100% there wil come part 2 off godzilla minus because he is still alive
The BEST! Sooooo, thankful that I was able to see it the first weekend of release in the theater with JBX sound!!! I experienced so many emotions watching this masterpiece! The story is excellent!!
Unexpected but welcomed
Excellent movie, love the visuals.First time felt terror of Godzilla
the theme i took away from this Godzilla film was "you have to forgive yourself before you can move on." it struck me as really really weird coming from a movie about a giant radioactive dinosaur that shoots plasma from its mouth
Godzilla king of the monsters all time favourite ❤❤
2:01 that transition was clean
Take notes Hollywood. This is how you create an incredible film
They’ll never listen
Godzilla learned to not mess with the indomitable human spirit
Definitely a quality remake of the original!!!
Japanese movies had been famous in Hollywood since '60S. Maybe Gm1'd started another wave..
Excellent movie and yet a small budget
Godzilla, the King of all Smoke
Just watched it at home yesterday. Great movie. Though not much was there to say about the big G. More focused o human side which still was fine.
This movie gojira minus one is number 1 numero uno in the whole planet
Shin Godzilla was an accident, a product of humanity, a being in constant pain, the destruction he caused was just a consequence of his own existence. I am sure this one will be amazing.
This inrage godzilla is scary af
Glad I saw it in theaters. Can't wait to see the black and white version.
One of my favourite movies of all tome
BRO I JUST WANNA WATCH IT AGIAN :(((((((((((((((((((((((((
Still the Best Godzilla Film Ever! 🏆🔥
At least he’s in the ocean regenerating.🙂
This is what you get when 95% of the budget is spent on special effects and the 5% for actors and writers. it's ideal for today's audience.
This is simply, the best Godzilla movie ever made...
2:04 can't believe he did that to Godzilla.
1:34 haaaaa, psiuuu, boom! Fav part!!
It's alright
Can't wait for it to stream in USA
Waiting for it to digital download in the US!
This film did terror
I could be wrong but at 0.42 that warning sounds exactly the same as in the original, sure sounds like the same voice..wonder if its an Easter egg.
This could have realistically been a trailer for Minus One
"Now I have become death. The destroyer of worlds."
Godzilla minus one explained in two minutes be like
Bro made a whole new trailer for the movie 💀
Right now Toho is probably re thinking its release strategy after ONLY releasing it in Asia - Minus One has become one of the MOST pirated properties
🍿🎥 EVER, right up there with Game of Thrones !
The torrents have probably swept 10's of millions off their potential profits, even if it is only in Japanese with no subtitles!
When does it come to streaming??
You got past Toho and I didn't?
So, when does it come out on video?
1:00 Godzilla Boeing biolante 🤣
when will the blue ray DVD come OUT
Is there a way us in USA can purchase and watch this one?
When does this movie come out?
What style of video is this? Amv, or edit?
I'm pissed when is this gonna be streamed or released for cable or what
Where can one watch this
