- Hey there folks!
I recently completed this doll and I am sorry if I sounded really tired in my voiceover, I had a lot of errands to run this week, and that with a sprained toe.
I don't think I enforced it enough : I love this doll! I'm really happy with her faceup. Her eyebrows are giving me life!
I'm still baffled to have been lucky enough to stand next to all those amazing people. Many thanks to Sélène for hosting this collab and inviting me! Merci, mon amie.

Sealant : Mr Super Clear UV Cut Flat
Pastels : Gallery by Mungyo Artists' Soft Pastels / Pastel pencils by Derwent

Watercolour and gouache paints : Arteza, Magicfly
Acrylics : Various brands, mainly DecoArt, Delta CeramCoat and Liquitex
Gloss varnish : Liquitex High Gloss Varnish (lips)

Most fabrics are from thrifted clothes, but I ordered the chiffon from Fabric.com . If you want to know more about other materials or where I got them, sign off in the comments below. Many of my accents and ribbons were donations from friends or bought in local craft stores.

Yes! I considered it, but being Québécois, I felt like... it's a bit more western canada? But I think tire d'érable was a good choice! Makes me wish going to a Cabane à Sucre wasn't so expensive nowadays. XD

Taffy is adorable. You incorporated the snow, syrup and all the colors to perfectly depict the Canadian treat.
This brings me back to my childhood! We would take field trips to various sugar shacks (one time, a group came to our school!) and even though I liked eating the snow more than the sweet treats (I am the worst Canadian, I don't like maple) I always loved the trips and learning about tapping trees, boiling syrup, etc.
This doll is so sweet and pure!

Her dress is so lovely! I agree with tossing the foam corset. It detracted from the "syrup" feeling of her design. I love her pompadour too! She's very sweet.

I am in love with this doll. Everything from her hair color and style down to her boots is perfection to me. I love all the colors that you chose and your video has inspired me to use these colors more in my projects as I love all of them but rarely use them.

We actually use to taste the sap from the trees too! It's sweet but much much lighter. ;)

I'm pretty sure you can find it in the US, I heard some northern states have sugar shacks too. I have no idea where you are but it might be worth a google search even if just out of curiosity ;) (it's still a lump of pure sugar on a stick lol)

j'adore les petites feuilles d'érable, c'était une très bonne idée pour pimenter un peu la jupe. joli travail sur le teint aussi, elle respire la santé avec ses bonnes joues roses ^^

i've just stumbled onto your channel and im so happy to have found a canadian doll customizer, gives me hope that one day when i have enough money for it i could do it too, which i was worried about from not seeing any canadians doing it before X3 i also absolutely love this maple taffy style and wish that was a real outfit because i'd totally wear it!
