What?? Have you been living under a rock? Please educate yourself a little about a lot of what Hamas and Hezbollah are. If these guys were truly the liberators than they did a really crappy job. They are the weakest liberators ever. They launch a planned and unified attack on Israel on Oct 07 and 08 but seem to have forgotten the most important thing when you go off and declare a proper war…. That is to have a kickass defence system. They didn’t bother to make sure the civilians were safe when they went off and got in hostages…even a dummy like me know that the point of hostages is for a leg up. It only works if Israel couldn’t harm the people they are fighting for.
They didn’t bother to make sure they were prepared for war that now lasted for a year. They could have easily built bomb shelters… stocked it with food… and evacuate people from the front lines. Why the heck would Israel care for the civilians if Hamas and Hezbollah itself didn’t. They build tunnels… funded a war… and now crying when they lost. They are worst ever freedom fighters! To me it looks like they wanted civilian casualties since it makes for a better story and it looks like big bad Israel is why innocent people are killed and why people are displaced.
I come from a land of freedom fighters and I support leaders who have the best interest of their people and wage war from them. Hamas and Hezbollah are an insult to such leaders and freedom fighters.

Furthermore, isreal is going on the offside as opposed to being invaded which is a critical distinction between this and your example. Isreal has in the past pushed into the Sinai, but even that was not a seamless campaign. (I’m talking about the atom Kippur war, not the Suez crisis.)
