Enjoyed the video a lot, a A4 will take some beating in my book, i was lucky enough to walk through the tender onto the footplate and then ride there from Grosmont to Goathland with SNG, will never forget that, cheers for showing...Mal
Don't worry about not getting lots of footage, I would imagine sticking your head out the window at 60-75mph is probably strongly disapproved 🤣🤣🤣. Great shots from what you did manage to capture 👍👍
Much as enjoy watching trains from the station/lineside, I have never seen the attraction of riding a train being hauled by a specific heritage steam or diesel loco. Would someone care to enlighten me?
You had more patients to get some better shots than me 😁. We were also on that trip sitting in Carriage A. A lovely day out. Nice video 👍. The market was also excellent. @HawkerFury if your interested in my shots.
Thanks - Good shots yourself.. The moves at Lincoln required some patience indeed - Not sure why those pair of units had been left in the sidings knowing SNG was booked to be in there for the afternoon.
Looked a epic day out pal…,
Great experience on Sir Nigel Gresley
Thanks for sharing 👍
Cheers buddy - Great day out and highly recommended if you can get on a SNG hauled service 👌👍

Nice video! I saw Sir Nigel at Welwyn Viaduct.
Just seen your video - Great shots. Very nicely done 👍👌
@@trainsplanes Thank you very much! :)
What a great experience that must've been. Thanks for sharing your day behind Nige :)
Thanks Brian - It was a great day out 👍
Thank you for sharing your experience with such a super loco in charge. Saw you go by at Werrington.

The windows have bars across nowadays so they block you doing that.
Quite an unusual starting point for a steam charter.
It’s was a very quick stop - Everyone onboard rapidly as the platform is used for be Elizabeth line with departures every 6-7 mins.

Annoying! Never happened when I was stationed at either camp nearby? The highlight of the railway at Lincoln for me was a day trip to Cleethorpes!
Enjoy it on the east coast while you can, before digital signalling is rolled out…

Does anyone know what the different name plate colours mean. if they even have meaning. like it used to be red and gold now black and gold.
