I love your bowls and baskets! I think I'll be adding this to my list of crafts to make.

Looks great! Btw loving the b roll. I’m looking to get a sewing machine soon so I can do my own tailoring, this will be a great project once I get some basic skills down

Thanks! I'm working hard to get interesting shots for engaging videos. The rope basket is definitely a forgiving, beginner-friendly project. I have some clothing projects planned in the future as well. Good luck on your tailoring journey!

Do u wash your rope in ash so the color stays in?

when setting the dye, the rope is soaked in a soda ash bath before the dye is applied. Once the dye is set, there's no need to continue washing the basket in a soda ash solution.

WHY DO YOU NOT USE RIT DYE? IT WOULD SEEM TO BE MUCH EASIER. THANKS.

You could definitely use Rit dye for this project! I don't use them because 1. I can't find information on what chemicals Rit dyes are made of. This means I cannot decide if they are safe enough to be using on a regular basis. 2. Using fiber reactive dyes is more economical when dyeing more than 1 item. I dye lots of yarn and fiber, so it makes more sense to use fiber reactive dyes. I hope this helps!
