    You input the zipper wrong. It’s supposed to be *invisible* and it is not. It can be seen the way you did it. Honestly, this was not helpful for learning how to do a French seam with an invisible zipper.

    • @RandomBatHome
      @RandomBatHome 3 дня назад

      @@whatisheybailsdoing I sewed the zipper foot correctly. In the video I clearly stated I did not have an invisible zipper foot, so actually I think this information is incredibly helpful for those who don't have an invisible zipper foot, but want to get a similar finished look.

    • @whatisheybailsdoing
      @whatisheybailsdoing 2 дня назад

      @@RandomBatHome No, you did not. And the presser foot has nothing to do with it. You are supposed to iron the zipper open first so that you can sew directly under the teeth, which will cause it to roll and become invisible. The zipper foot you used is the same one I have and I can still achieve the correct result. I’m speaking directly from knowledge that was learned in fashion design school.

      @@whatisheybailsdoing awesome! I see you have your own RUclips channel, maybe you should focus on that instead of leaving negative comments on my channel. I get the occasional critical comment and they usually come from a place of sharing knowledge, but your comments are coming from a place of hate. Even if you sew an invisible zipper better than me, you are being a common internet troll, which is a very unfortunate way to treat people.

    Depends on your definition of feminism. I call it equal opportunity and pay for the exact same job. But when it comes to hobbies, I call it doing whatever I want! Men and women ARE different. Sometimes we have different skill sets and interests. It’s about playing to your strengths - man or woman. Why should doing embroidery (or any other interest) not make you a “feminist”? Very silly

    comments here did not understand the seriousness of such a plant. some people here act like everybody knows that they’re invasive & to keep secluded from other plants, but the case is not everyone does! & planting them in your backyard, they can & will take over native plants, not to mention are poisonous, stray/loose cats or dogs may ingest. these flowers are beautiful, but are best left to wild environments in their own nature, not planting these dangerous flowers. do not underestimate.

    Suggestion if you want it. One thing for the final piece that may speed yiu up even more, dont keep switching colors. Do one color, everywhere it belongs across the whole piece, then the next color, then the next. My friend does this when she has deadlines (she makes gifts) and swears by it for embroidery. I swear by it for artwork and my own crafts. I cant wait to watch the journey of your final piece. ❤

But my channel kind of exploded one day out of the blue and people started subscribing and making requests, which I really loved doing. But I am not a content creator, so putting in all the work to share my hobby on RUclips quickly overwhelmed me and I decided to pull to plug on it. I think I still have followers somehow but only heaven knows why. I'm almost certain they've forgotten they ever subscribed. 😂 Suffice it to say that it is no small task what you do, and after my little experience with creating content, I have a whole new respect for people who can stick with it. Can you put up a tutorial or even just some close up shots if making the loops on the bottom band that the shoulder straps hook into? I’ve got some favorite bras that I adore, but the strap hook loop is set too wide so they fall off my shoulders. Every way I’ve looked at adding extra loops is either very bulky or leaves seams that will irritate my skin. (It’s very hard for me to find bras due to my disability, so fixing this one issue would mean the world to me.)

    • @RandomBatHome
      @RandomBatHome Месяц назад

      I wish I could add a picture in this comment! For this bra in particular, I just sewed the strap end directly onto the back band using a straight stitch. I first sewed it to the bottom of the band and then sewed a second set of straight stitches along the top of the back band. I would recommend overcasting the edge of the bra strap to keep it from unraveling (I've found some do and some don't) before stitching it down. If you want to keep the seam hidden, you can unpick some of the stitches on the bottom elastic and tuck the bra strap into it. Please let me know if this doesn't make sense! Alternately, I have made a loop like you're describing, but that will definitely be bulky like you said, especially as a mended solution.

      In sewing and other textile crafts, notions are like... the general assorted bits and bobs needed other than the fabric. For example, buttons, threads, pins, thimbles, needles, rotary cutters, etc. They're usually the smaller items, not like the sewing machine itself.

    • @RandomBatHome
