How do I put the eyes

So I figured out that there's like little slots when you look so when you look at the I spot you'll find like a little opening push it through that and it'll go in

Anyone else find that the rod that holds the head just doesn’t work at all? The head comes clean off, am I doing something wrong?

You either have something in the wrong place or you have to push it down further to make it stick in
