As many of you know, in July 2021 I was diagnosed with cancer. As someone who had been a severe hypochondriac since childhood, and as an adult whose life was severely impacted by a panic and anxiety disorder, I had the exact opposite reaction to the news than I might have expected. A new peace found me. I felt like I was sitting in a warm bath of love. My blood pressure, which had been high for years as a result of anxiety--returned to normal. My mind, which typically raced like an auctioneer selling horror stories, retired. All of this happened as a direct result of being told I had a very serious diagnosis. I’m writing today to share some of why. Read more... andreagibson.s...

Snacking on pecans, listening to Andrea, what more could a squirrel want? This is the life.
Buh Bo Bo Bo Bo
“Let your heart break, so your spirit doesn’t”.
The squirrel and the line just come right on time. ❤️
Literally my favorite poem, and my favorite line (about the sun saying it hurts to become). I carry the hurt on the tip of my tongue... and I am finally letting myself become the milky way.
Softened my heart just to see and hear this conversation ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for sharing. Sending lots of healing.
Come tender as the trees forgiving the books for asking to be made. LIFE CHANGING I AM TELLING YOU
Isn’t it interesting that animals are so unimpressed by what we perceive to be our greatest accomplishments, and yet are intrigued by our ability to connect with them by just doing their favorite thing. My dog gives zero craps that I rescued a man who was choking on bacon this morning. His favorite part of me today is that I found my way back to him, and I remembered how he likes his belly scratched. He probably tells his dog friends “I taught her how to do that!”
I on the other hand think your words are like belly rubs and homecomings.
You are absolutely awesome! May you always find joy after darkness, especially the simple ones.
Thank you for sharing your beauty words and energy.
I wish I was that squirrel so badly! You are fantastic Andrea
