I started working on the whole thing some years ago, y'all should play the mod for yourselves, pretty high effort!

Even if Free-4-Me is the Number 1 song that gets talked the most about from this mod, I have an appreciation for the work it took for this song, just has different meanings to it. Like its a little tutorial song, not a lot of mods have those, its a good song to make you feel like you are playing a sonic mod before the reality swifts in from the next song. And overall its just a chill bop with a bunch of nods and references to sonic songs, or maybe there's more to it, I can't tell besides the main instrumental melody of Lava Reef Zone
Sonic winds up singing abit of Open Your Heart in this too

Fun Fact : as said in the game files, the sonic that sings this song is the REAL sonic.
What if this happened:
The files say this is the real sonic. So what if before free4me he got killed/possessed by X and X took his form? Because after the first song he spin dashes away. He might have ran into x and X killed him.
@@Cmillzwrld X copied sonic's look for fitting for him vessel. That explains his jaws being so flexible without breaking them, and he most likely just replaced characters. He loves sonic, and tortures only human souls in ingame characters vessels. But that part with Sonic being replaced is my just my theory

Fun fact! If you play Free-4-Me on botplay, sonic exposes you, and basically tells you to replay the song without it.

while Free-4-Me is being talked about more, i can still appreciate this song, it's really funky and works as a great tutorial and it's just a nice song all around, love it !
also lava reef reference in the begining, i really love that song
this is probably one of the best sonic mods, keeping it basic and not going over-the-top with anything, just short funky tunes and arrow pressing, as it was intended

X hijacked the mod, simple
My headcanon: so when X was scrolling through sonic mods, he finds a cheerful and beautiful sonic mod, and thought "I think I'll do a little trolling" so when Sonic spindashes out of 2torial, he's just gone and X takes his place (not implying Sonic gets possessed or dies to him)
I don't think You can confidently judge everything just by how the in-game files are titled.
I mean the "sonic" in free4me has different sprites to this one
as a fnf dev myself and a sonic fan this song hits really hard i love the mixing the cromatics everything about this song is just good i also am a crush 40 glazer so having open your heart at the end was amazing and makes me want to listen to this song even more funny enough ive prolly listened to this song more than obituary or Free-4-Me this song is such a love letter to sonic fans with the neat little references you can catch throughout the song you can cook like hell homie
i love how the song alone (not the 3, 2, 1, go!) isnt even a minute, makes this a song you could fit in a yt short.

I have a feeling that the sonic here is exe. Since the song takes before orbitury the song exe makes a appearance. The tutorial is likely a prequel of how it starts.

That doesn't help. I tried both GameJolt and GameBanana and neither had the mod in the correct form for me to actually play it.
@@HonorJanas do you not have rar? Cuz both download has rar as the format for the file
It’s downloaded as a RAR with the Google Chrome logo and when I double click it, it just downloads another one!
@@HonorJanas Make sure you have RAR installed and open with it on the mod file, if you don't have RAR install it and you should be able to open the folder
