I almost ran screaming from the room on this one. But I did complete it. It takes some practice. I sew, so I call it the whip stitch bracelet. Thank you!!!
Kelly i love this video. Making this bracelet for my son's girlfriend. This tutorial made this bracelet easy, I do admit i watched the video in its entirety once and then started making the bracelet while watching the video a second time. I also bought the Beadalon Tying Station and I see why you like it so much. Thank you for making this tutorial.
Thank you so much for your clear instructions 😊 I have watched soooo many tutorials on wrap bracelets over the last few weeks and yours is the only one I could comprehend. I have all the materials ready so I am going to make one this weekend xoxo
Amazing tutorial, it is so helpful, it has been years since I made a ladder wrap bracelet so I really needed a refresher and you show how to do everything perfectly! A little trick if you don't have any buttons for the closure (other than sacrificing a jacket or cardigan button to the cause). You can also use a 6-10mm round bead instead of the button, preferably something that matches the size and colours of the beads and leather you are using and it should ideally be sturdy like a lava bead or other stones like quartz, moonstone, jade or adventurine. You want to start with the bead at the beginning instead of the end so you string it onto your leather cord until it is right in the middle and then use an overhand knot to secure the bead making sure to leave about 3/4 of an inch between the bead and knot. Then you just continue following the tutorial as is until you reach the end of the bracelet and then after securing the thread at the end you tie another overhand knot (or you can tie the thread into this overhand knot for extra security and trim thread) leave a space just big enough for your closure bead to fit through and then tie 1 more overhand knot and cut the excess leather off leaving at least a 1/2 inch tail. The bead at the beginning goes through the space between the 2 overhand knots at the end of the bracelet to secure it.
you know , I was not really a leather person , but ive seen so many tutorials with leather , and they are gorgeous , just like this one , that I am really liking what I'm seeing !!!ty kellie , just love you and ur tutorials!!!! such an awesome teacher!!!
Thank you for another great tutorial! Your directions are so clear and easy to understand. I watched a video on another site that really discouraged me from trying this kind of bracelet. I felt like I needed a macrame course first! Lol! I am currently working on your Superduo wrap bracelet. I don't know if you realize how many lives you are touching in a positive way but I so much appreciate you! 💕
Thank you sooo much for this video. I have had to watch multiple videos to find a good way for me to do a wrap and your video is the best !! I had also bought the Beadalon tying station awhile ago, and I could not figure out how to use the extension till this video. You have taught me so much and I want to thank you from my heart !!..
Thank you as always for sharing this tutorial. I used the tying station for the 1st time because your instructions were so good. I was all thumbs but I got it finally. I covered the bolts with plastic wrap so the thread wouldn't get tangled - worked like a charm. Can't wait to stay #2. Have to feed the family 1st. Thank you again. It always feels like you've given me a gift.
You’ve got an instant subscriber, thank you for going over the bare basics for those starting out, too many of the videos are elaborate ones that assume you know everything already. Thumbs up 👍 from me 🙂
Hi Kelly! You always look so happy..... especially on a Monday! 😁. Thank you for this upcoming series. I've always wanted to make wrap bracelets, but I thought I had to do it on a loom or something. 💖
Thank you Kelly so much I love this video and the design. It may be simple but can be embellished or redesigned to anyones liking, I am looking forward to the next one.
Excellent tutorial. My first bracelet is quite acceptable. I just have to work on the tension... Great teacher. Video well paced. We see everything. And, thank God, no background music!!!! :))
Thank you Kelly for this great video and for teaching us! So happy you are doing these videos on wrap bracelet , the tool you have and useing for doing the wrap bracelet looks awesome! The bracelets are very pretty thank you for sharing! Hugs Liz x
I couldn't find the natural leather that you have. I did find some beautiful hemp cord that looks about the same as the leather you used. Do you think that will work?
You might not see the comment. I don’t know how often you check but let me first say I wish I lived closer to take classes because I love your videos. I’m trying to do the wrap bracelet and I’m using a beading thread and no matter which needle I either can’t thread it into the eye or if I use a big eye it’s getting caught in my bead on the second pass thru. Is it my beads or the thread? I was looking forward to making this and just ended up frustrated but thank you again for your videos
Kelly, thank you for this great project! Could you also let us know what colors of fire polish beads you used in the two other samples you showed before you started the tutorial? Thank you!
Great video, Kelly! If my bracelet size is 71/2 inches, how long should my leather be for a 3 wrap bracelet? TFS your great teaching style...hope your friend Heather will soon be doing utube videos also...stopped by to see her this winter...i would love for Heather to start with a unique kumi video...GOTTA LOVE MUST KNOW MONDAYS!
Thanks for asking. I was wondering the same. Went looking on the website. No luck. Lol. Decided to check out the comments before I asked. Kelly, Love all your videos! If I ever drive (from NJ) down to visit my sister in Conway, SC, I'm planning to visit your store. Can't wait to meet you.
Hi Kelly, Let me start with a huge thank you. I watched this video and fell in love with the "tutti-frutti " colors. On Friday I placed my order to and it arrived in California on Monday. Talk about super fast shipping. I made my bracelet with three wraps and because my wrist is on the smaller side I have 16 beads of each color left over. Is there an earring you can recommend that work with these beads and match the bracelet?
I made a bracelet like that using the 6lb fireside for my daughter and the thread broke . Any suggestions. ? And by the way thank you for this tutorial it turned out amazing, just that one booboo.😒
If the bracelet is worn a lot the thread will wear out over time and will need to be restrung. It's also possible that one of the beads you used had a sharp place on the inside and cut the thread. You could try going up to an 8lb or a 10lb fire line.
@@offthebeadedpath Thank you for responding. I was thinking maybe there might be a sharp bead. I have watched so many videos and thought I chose the best way to make it . And she did always have it on. I was afraid I did not have the knack for this. Thank you for your input. 🤗
I have had problems with the sharpness of the 4mm beads- breaking the thread- any ideas? This is after I have been wearing the bracelet which is 3 wrap
@@offthebeadedpath thanks for replying. I used double corded ko. 4mm faceted firepolish. enjoy your video so much even if I know the technique I always learn something.

I finally learned how to make this bracelet 😍 THANK YOU BUNCHES
Great instructions and fantastic close-ups, thank you so much!
You explain it so very well!! Thank you so much for this video!
You make it seem so easy. Thank you
Great video!!! I was just curious can the same teqnique be used like for nylon cord ?
Great class and easy to follow.
Thanks Kelly - awesome bracelets
Love them!
Lovely! Thank you!☺😇☺
Great instructions. I think I like two needles better.😊
I couldn't find the natural leather that you have. I did find some beautiful hemp cord that looks about the same as the leather you used. Do you think that will work?
Love it!!! Beautiful!!
Is it possible to use a lobster claw clasps on these bracelets. I like your videos
Great video!! This really helped me a lot with my leather wraps.. may i ask where the buttons are from? They’re gorgeous!!
When I use rondelles or even firepolished I go back and make sure the threads are tight. That also will cause beads to pop up.

Hi! Could you tell us the colors in the first two bracelets you showed on the video? Thanks!
Thank you for the video. I teach this bracelet at my local bead shop. I teach the same mantra.
Thank you for this informative video. Could tell me what the little people on the shelf are called, I have never seen them before.
They are from Funko Pop. You can get characters from Game of Thrones or any of the Manga stories. My kids have some and like collecting them.

Would you please show me the packaging for the thread or wire you are using. I can’t find anything locally that will do.
Me encanto no hablo inglés, pero si puede ayudarme, cuánto se corta de cuero según lo grueso de la mano?
What type of needle do you recommend for this project?
Divine
Do you use a special kind of thread?
You can use just about any type thread but in these videos I have used fire line thread.
Where did get your beading station thingy?
I sell them on my website.

Not sure as I've not tried it but give it a whirl!
where can I get this tool?

Where do u get the holder for the leather?
we sell them on our website. It is called the Beadalon Tying Station.
What if I have no machine?
Use a clip board.
Podrían dar el tutorial en castellano por favor
Your sweetness gave me a cavity... 🐝
Over, under, over, under, over, under, over, under.
I would have thought you could have just used some silver seed beads instead of a different color maybe..?
Yeah, I would've gone with either silver or maybe dark blue, to match the fire-polish colours. Oh well, the metallic teal still look ok with this, imo
You talk to much get to work
Seriously all the chitch chat is so unnecessary get on with it please
