Cute bracelet! One tip I learned from someone is, before cutting off the ends of your sliding-knot (a square knot) cords, dab a bit of clear-drying craft glue or adhesive such as E6000, in the divots between the knots in the sliding part--do not get glue on the bracelet cords themselves. If you don't glue this, the ends will unravel from the square knot. Then when glue dries, cut your ends off of the sliding knot, and voila! You're ready to go! Also, smearing a bit of glue on the ends of your cords before you start, then swiping the excess off, and allowing it to dry also turns the ends of your cords into "needles" and they go through the beads easier--same is true of clear nail polish. This is so handy for me, as I have arthritis and have difficulty getting cords to go through beads. Pretty design!
Great suggestions…thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
Excellent instruction all. I would make my slider a little longer to be stronger.
Thank you so much!!!❤❤❤
Clear nail polish on the ends of the cording will keep it from fraying without adding any size. Just let dry and bead away!
Great tip, thank you!
Clear nail polish will flake over time which will peel off your work. Fray Chek is best (depending on what type of fiber you are using) to prevent fraying.
Or melted candle wax - just dip the end and press it back to shape - it Wii easily slide through the hole ☺️
Thank for the tip
This bracelet is absolutely gorgeous!
1st I'd like to say THANK YOU for making this so easy to understand. I appreciate the time you take to fully explain what your doing. I can't believe I finally learned how to make the bracelets I've loved for years. I never knew how until now. I make a lot of things with my granddaughter who's now 11 so this idea is perfect for her to make bff bracelets for her and her friends. I'll be making these as well. I'm so excited I can hardly wait to tell Skylie. Thank you for sharing. I'm looking forward to learning much more from your videos. ;-)
So I fell in love with this I did something a little bit different I used circular flat stones in the middle it beautiful!!!
So glad I found your vid ~ love the clear instructions and I’ll rewatch while making just to make sure I get it right! But it’s super cute ☺️ thank you!
Thanks for teaching and sharing your skill. Love it.
Make sure to get beads with at least 1mm holes (if using 1mm cord) unless you want to go to the trouble of reaming them. .8mm cord might be easier to work with. Also could help to secure the 2 middle strings taut to the bottom of the board. Put a marker or something underneath to give space under the cords, so easier to knot around. Looks nice. Thank you.
Such a cute idea! Love that there's a kit to make it!!
Another great video. Easy to follow, understand and recreate the bracelet. Thank you.
Saw these bracelets in several craft ideas pics & knew they couldn't be too hard to make. After looking around, your tutorial was the easiest to follow. Thanks!
I’m glad to hear that! I’ve tried a few different methods with my high school students, and we’ve definitely had the best success this way 🙂
Beautiful bracelet. Thank's for sharing the idea
AH-MAZ-ING! Thank you So much for this tutorial! Making bracelets for my nieces and this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Very clear instructions and will be very easy to follow. I can't thank you enough for doing this for us!
You are so welcome!
Thanks for sharing, I will definitely used this guide.
AWESOME!!! Thank you for sharing! ♥️
Love the bracelet 🤩🤩💜
Wow! A lot easier. I used memory wire to put my beads on. Thanks.
When I am stringing on a cord that frays, I rub a tiny bit of clear glue like Elmers, it dries quickly and holds up while you string. I also cut a slight angle on the tip so its pointed after the glue is dry. It would have been easier to pin down the ends of the string holding the beads so you could wrap the other more tightly. I love the Knotty Do It All board for this type of application.

Fantastic explanation, easy to follow these simple instructions. Thank you!
Great video! Love the bracelet!
Thank you SO much for this wonderful video. This zig zag subtle look has artistic dimension and sophistication plus that special knot allows different wrist measurements. You’re a GREAT teacher!!🌹❤️👍🌹
Thank you so much!
This is the best instruction I’ve seen for a bracelet like this! I’m excited to try this today!!
Thank you glad I found your channel! 😊
Gorgeous!
I made two of these bracelets but the second one I improved on. If you want to use literally any bead with any size bead hole, use two strands of beading thread on the inside, and leather, or cord on the outside, I used hemp. I used a cord end to start, and start with two seed beads to help it lay flat and not show the thinner string. Then you can use any size beads with any beadhole. Don’t forget two seed beads at the end of the thread and crimp it all together using cord ends. Maybe you could knot it, or even use a crimp bead and then do a slip knot. There are variations.
I have been waiting to make a couple of these!!! How amazingly simple!!! Your tutorial is just fantabulous!!! Thank you Thank You
Thanks so much, Joni!
Wow, you did a great job explaining how to make this bracelet! Thank you so much😊❤
This bracelet is so beautiful 🤩 please make more videos like this with different styles for each video ❤🎉🎉🎉
I find your videos easy to follow and pleasing to listen to (as well as relaxing)… Thank you for sharing your knowledge 💕
Thank you so much!
I am so excited to see a new tutorial for cording and beads! So boho and chic! Thanks!
Thanks so much, Sharion!
Thanks i love to do things like that..
Nice video! Easy to understand. Thanks!
To avoid fraying, brush a little clear UV nail polish on the end and to dry quickly, use a UV light - only takes a few seconds.
Instant thumbs up. Just a good vibe
You have just made a step I've struggled with seem so easy...thank u!!

Wonderful tutorial thank you
love this!
Love, love, the video I'm seriously gonna try this using 20 guage wire.
I have now subscribed to your channel. I look forward to creating this bracelet.
Thank you!
Thank you, Madelyne!
THANK YOU! An easy tutorial that doesn't list 30 necessities where I inevitability dont have at least 1 or 2! Thats considering all the stuff I DO HAVE! Im a painter, now living where I've no room to paint & my inner artist wont be quiet. Ive afforded Jeff Bezos a new doormat or a mid-grade light switch cover from all the Amazon products I've purchased this last year! I hone in on one, go for it, get bored & move to another. I could open a brick & mortar w/all I've made by now!
Now its beading & im stockpiled! That is til I find a piece I'd like to make, click the vid & realize Ive got the wrong size this or the wrong type of that...GAAAH!😫😂 Seriously....thanks for any EASY tute, of a really cute, sellable piece that doesn't require an entire hardware store or the knowledge of a Navajo Shaman to accomplish! I'm a fan!!! As for the focal pieces. I was in resin for awhile.( 👋 Jeff! We're besties now) I found a bulk of different size/styles of full back bezels w/loops on each end & made some really neat pieces. But I didn't want to just clasp a plain cord or chain to them so ive kept them for a design just like this! Its PERF!!!! Jeff & I will do these on this rainy Sunday!😂
Fyi...for those not familiar...bezels are empty pendants. Like frames, only you create the middle. Sizes range from tiny earrings to 4 coaster & holder sets.. Theyre either empty (just the outer frame that you lay flat on silicone mat, fill with resin, cure & peel off...VOILA! OR they have backs; little wells with depth that you deco and fill w/resin. Once dry it's like a gemstone. You can color the resin; add a cut out picture, cover w/clear resin; paint the "well," LET DRY, top w/resin ETC.. Find vids if interested but really understand all involved. It CAN be MESSY & if you're skin or respritory sensitive, DONT! It makes SUPER durable pieces that would be great additions to project like this but resin art isn't for everyone. Just an FYI with my THANKS!
BLESSED BE TO ALL!!! HAPPY CRAFTING!❤
Thanks for the instructions!!! I used a sharp knife scraped over the end of the cord to separate the strands, cut half the strands off and used hypo cement on the remaining strands pulled through my fingers to make a pointy narrow stiff end, easy peasy to get it through the bead holes after that!
Great idea!!
Ualll que lindo parabéns
You just changed my.life with that sliding knot girl! The old way was too frustrating
Hahahahaha glad to help 😄
Great video 👍 Thank you for sharing ❤😀
Thanks for watching!
Gracias!!
If you take a second clip and clip at the end of your beads they will stay in place while you work.
Beautiful pattern. Thank you.
Yes I always recommend that to my students, especially on the beaded wrap bracelet and the woven beaded bracelet!
Muy bonita pulsera y se agradece la clase, pero esta muy largo y se hace tedioso ,haces cosas hermosas, ojalá los acortaras, muchas gracias, todo bello 🙋🏼♀️💜🌹
So pretty! I love those beads..& the color combo! Will be making one soon! New sub!😁👋🏻
Great to hear! Thanks, Angel! ❤️
thank you so much, I was making it so much harder than it needed to be as well!!
I used to as well! I was experimenting one day and stumbled upon an easier way! Thanks for watching 🙂
@@livandvivdesignco I'm glad I found your video. 4 strands of cord/leather never occurred to me. I have a bunch of beads waiting to be paired in this style and now I know how to do it!
@@dinamonster00 I'm glad to hear that! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions while you are making them!
this is a super cute bracelet! one tip I learned was to make sure your beads weren't too big. like u said. my beads were really big and the holes were even bigger...long story short use SMALL beads;)
Arrasou!
Muito linda!
Obrigada!
Thank you❣️
I use that wrapping style in the watches I make! They look beautiful like that bracelet! ♥ ︎
@@IMRad4JC I bought my watches on Amazon. 10 different styles ... I think they cost me $ 14
Make it look so easy
❤just what I was looking for! 🕊️❤️😇
Used your links!! 🙏
Wow. Awesome
thank you!
I like this pattern
thats very nice.thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Nice bracelet. I'd like to make a suggestion that before you start threading your beads on the thread, paint the ends with clear nail enamel and let it dry. That will stop the fraying problem. Thanks
So smart and so easy... Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!
Awesome
I love this design. I used your links to get the beads and cord. I’m really struggling to get 4mm beads on this cord, and my cord broke when I tried to get it tight enough. Guess you have to use the 6mm and leave the cord looser.
The hardest part was stringing my beads. Mine were smaller hard to keep still, whe doing the beads.😊
Hi! Love your video! Thanks....can you tell me how to keep the leather cord from opening on the slide closure...it seems like it may open, thanks!
Not bad.........👏👏👏👏👍👍Very beautiful..... 😄👍 this is so cute....... ✨🤓💯👍🙏
This is amazing ! I am gonna make for myself something like this . Love it . Ty dear for this video 🌷🌷🌷Subscribed ( of course 😊😊😊) !
Thank you, Helen! Good luck!!
Beautiful beads and design. My wrist is so scrawny [5"] that I wear most designs as an ankle bracelet or armband. It would be too sad to leave the center stone out.
Love the into
Thank you for a great tutorial. If I can use S lon, nylon cord. Macramé cord or chinesse cord to make this bracelet?
Hi I would say you can yes, I make bracelets from waxed polyester as its better quality.
I would put a piece of Blue Painter's Tape across the metal part so the twine doesn't flip around.... Blue Painter's Tape will not harm the metal.
I like 👍♥
Enjoyed your video. New subscriber!
Thanks for watching, Sandra!
Great video. Do you have a tutorial for heated disc you are using in the very beginning of your opening intro?
Yes! This is the video… ruclips.net/video/7HX5stAuGeQ/видео.html
the end connection what you call a "pretzel" is basically a "square knot" in macrame. A "sliding knot" would work too. Do you know pros and cons for either method? Thanks for making the video, looks like a fun bracelet to make. Hope to make it soon.
You are correct, it’s a square knot. The pretzel term seems to make more sense to my high school students 😀 They also prefer the look of the square knot to the sliding knot, which is why I generally opt for that one. A con for the square knot is it has a greater chance of coming undone over time versus the sliding knot. I’ve also heard from many that a double sliding knot is harder to put on one’s own wrist than the square knot. I hope that helps!
Where can I order the kit?
Super
Thank you for the tutorial, what size of beads and cord are you using?
Thanks for watching, Manita! The beads in the video are 6mm. I personally wouldn't go much bigger than 8mm, but it's completely your preference! I will say the smaller the beads, the harder it is to get the cord through the hole.
I loved the tutorial. Very well explained. Thank you. Only problem is putting the two cords thru the connector loop. You used a needle to push thru. Is there any other way to do it? 🙏🕉
Thank you, Meera! Unfortunately that's the best way I've found to do it when the hole is smaller. There are connectors that have larger holes where you will not run into this problem though! Sorry I don't have an alternate way!
If you try using the blunt end of a needle that way you won't damage the cord with the pointy end 😁
Great! the way you made it looks easy to follow , i want to know where i can get or buy the materials.thank you 😉
Check the description...all the supplies are linked :)
Very nice tutorial. Where can I get some of the slider clasps?
They are made using the cord 🙂 I show you in the end how to do it 🙌🏼
I finally got to making this bracelet, but quickly realized that the cord I ordered was 1.5mm. I bought Amazonite beads and center stone, which looked perfect. I can't find 1mm turquoise leather. Any idea where I could find something that would work? I'd appreciate your help.
You might try looking at pandahall.com! They have tons of options.
Great tutorial. Is there a way to do this type of bracelet without the middle metal piece?
Yes, you certainly could! You would just need to use two pieces of cord instead of four, and I would at least double the length, plus add a little extra 😊
@@livandvivdesignco Why only two pieces of cord? The beads would be on two cords and you still need two more cords to do the braid, correct?
@@cherylapel6445 because they would be folded over in half…so it essentially becomes 4 cords 🙂 You also don’t need as much cord overall because you will only have one set of ends instead of two.
Fray check on the end of cord
Is it possible to make this bracelet using nothing but the beads and cord? Meaning no feature bead/component in the middle?
Beautiful! I've been looking for some cording just like that. Could you tell me what brand it is? Thanks!
I purchase it from a jewelry supplier in bulk…it doesn’t have a brand 😕
@@livandvivdesignco do you know how I can open this bracelet more to place on someone's hand???
@@ayamore8885 do you mean to slide it over their hand onto their wrist?
@@livandvivdesignco yes
It is adjustable, so you just slide it open. Maybe I’m not understanding your question??
Obrigada por compartilhar conosco 👏🎉
Sim, todos nós apreciamos você. Obrigada😁😃
Hi. Love the bracelet. Where is the link to purchase the kit?
We no longer sell the kits. There are links to the individual items that we use in the description though!
Can we purchase one already made, I’d like to buy one just like the example shown in the thumbnail. It’s gorgeous!
Thanks! Unfortunately we are only providing the links to the supplies at this time.
