Flew SQ to siem reap in june. Honestly thankful for the old airport becos we were able to deplane by stairs and the airport was like 10 mins from the city…now its super far but i get that its for environmental reasons…
@haresh1344, yea, the new airport is much further away but it is a good sign that the government feels the old airport no longer able to handle the capacity. The cost of the transportation and the travel time to the airport have certainly increased. Lucky that you went in June. Thank you for sharing.

The old airport is too near Angkorwat . Monorail train will be build soon too for new airport it will b cheap and faster to the sr town
