Hi,, I also started teaching myself to TIG about 3 months ago. I've learned a lot in that short time. I'm retired so I can work on it all day long if I feel like it. Just keep at it and watch the videos for tips and tricks.
last month, I learned five most crucial things with my first welding, in this case tig welding 1. turn on the helmet so you dont burn your eyes 2. wear welding jacket or at least long sleeves so you dont burn you arm and neck 3. wear gloves so you dont burn your finger 4. turn on the gas so you dont burn the tungsten 5. dont weld galvanized steel without grinding off the galvanized layer
That looks like about 4mm you should be at 120 amp round about 30 amp per mm keep the ark relatively close and use the gas to shield the weld don’t remove it straight away and get a gas lens kit with a bigger cup

Thanks mate!
your using to much gas. With that cup try 12 to 15 CFM
HYBRID MUSCLE GARAGE thank you, I turned it down to 12
