I've been searching for a video of this. Now I don't have to avoid the wood trim if I find a great deal. There's one in my area I had my eye on but it has wood trim. Much appreciated.
Thanks mate. I get rattling noise from under neath the dash trim/black hard rubber. Just wanted to take of the trim to have a look. Can you pls share a video on how to remove the dash trim on either sjde of the wheel please. Thanks
Great video. I know you did this a bit over a year ago, but will you be planning on doing a video for the matching M Performance CF steering wheel trim?
@@boostedmedia Bummer! I figured it out. Airbag is always intimidating, but it was much simpler than expected. Thanks for the great content, anyway, watched this while installing all of the other bits!
Can you advice if the process is same for 2013 328i xdrive, since the idrive knob is a tad smaller. Also can you post a link on where did you buy those M performances parts from?
Process is the same apart from the large dash piece which will also require vent removal on your car. I didn’t buy the parts online. I got them from a dealership.
Hey man I have a lot of m performance parts and was wondering can any body shop install these for me? Im just too scared I might fuck up something. I have a lot of bits to install as well..
Is this real carbon fiber, or just plastic garbage that looks like carbon fiber? Where can I get prices for the parts in this video and the gearshift / console replacement.
This was the first time I'd done anything like this on a European car and it was a lot harder than I expected, although not exactly what I'd call hard. I'm used to Japanese cars where you look at the part and it comes off. lol
Great video, it made it almost idiot proof. Here’s where I reveal I am the idiot. In the video, you didn’t want to pull on the blue clip to the iDrive. I however kept pulling at it, even using a tool to get more leverage. That’s when I snapped the plastic bracket, AND broke the clip. www.1977.net.au/CA6784CC-E0CE-4546-B820-7081CCEA2F6D.jpeg Anyone doing this, follow the video’s advice and unscrew the iDrive rather than force the clip. Overall, I’m not that enamoured with the “upgrade”. I had optioned the Fine Woodline trim on my Built-to-order. This suited the all black interior on my m240i better than the black dry carbon look. The Carbon look is a bit lost in all the black.
Just received my trim kit for the M235i, thanks for the install video.

You’re welcome! Hope it helps :) If you’re in Australia, I have my brushed aluminium trims available. ;)
Boosted Media Sorry, US. I will need one of those tools. How do I find one? Thank you.
It’s called a plastic trim removal tool. There very cheap on eBay.
Thanks mate.

Sorry. I don’t have the car anymore but check out Kies Motorsports channel :)
@@boostedmedia will do, thanks

Perfekt! Thank You!
When I heard the dnb I had to like

Can you still buy it ? could i have a link plz ? :)
Can You post a video where You change the trim or hand brake
I’m not planning on changing it on my car, but it just unclips from around the base and then slides off. Very easy.
Boosted Autos You are wonderfull
That's cool. How much did it cost
900
so is this whole video flipped left to right???
Believe it or not, cars in other countries have the steering wheel on the right!
Where can you buy the kit? is it in amazon?
Great! Thanks!
You’re welcome John.
Great video, looks awesome with the color of your interior.
Thanks Ron :)
very sweet.
Great video! But unfortunately the M performance interior trim doesn't suit that interior.
I like it
Obviously! It's your car lol
But with beige/white interior the black alcantara dash and carbon trims don't suit the car.
That’s your opinion.
I agree with you
Don’t listen mate in any case it def looks better than the brushed aluminum

you want to try a Mercedes it's a lot harder, well done tho the alcantara looks the Boss,,,,, :P

Where did you buy those items?
From a BMW dealership
👍🏻
I agree. Looks good with anthracite but looks awful with that trim.
Its an x5 f15
no metal on trim !! period !
If only they weren't 900 bucks arghh
How much HP did you get from this upgrade? LOL Noooooob!
All of them. Noob.
