- In this week's woodturning video I will be surprising one loyal 5 yrs old fan with a little hybrid gift from me. Casting a small hot wheels car into epoxy resin using the stunning mallee burl for its base. Then carefully shaped on the lathe to form a rain drop shape then it was sanded up to 3000 gritn and polished and buffed to glass like finish

I was asking the same question.
A sports car in an off-road setting? And what’s with the middle eastern style dome tip? (Not like any raindrop I’ve ever seen) Technical and creative skills are fine but understanding the subject is also important.

I've never seen an off-road vehicle parked on a wooden Burl either. Sounds like you need to understand the subject. He made a fun project for a 5-year-old. Read that again. 5-year-old it's fun art. It wasn't supposed to be a sales clip of a real car. It's a matchbox car for a 5-year-old you need to understand the subject. I'll bet if you ask the 5-year-old it's spot on.
I checked your channel, & go figure, there isn't a single woodworking project up there. 😂 So, your opinion on someone else's work is invalid.
@@darrenblack2802 I’m sure David appreciates objective criticism rather than your subjective drivel. The 5-year-old will grow up and wonder why a sports car, at home on a smooth road, is up in the mountains lifting a wheel.
