I propose a new reaction on Morissette Amon, Filipino singer with an angelic voice and powerful at the same time. Also in this performance she performs live on Wish Bus 107.5, Filipino radio, proposing in this case a cover of Little Mix with Jason Derulo, entitled Secret Love Song. This is her most viewed performance of her ever on RUclips, so I'm very curious to hear what she's going to do in this video! Mori came from a Cebuano-speaking province that also happens to use more English than the language used in our country's capital. English is her 2nd language, next to her native Cebuano dialect.

Hello, Giacomo. Thank you for this awesome reaction to Morissette performing a cover of "Secret Love Song" by the Little Mix on the Wish Bus. Yes, this video, released in August 2016, is the most viewed Wish Bus performance, now 197 million views and counting. Her other cover on the Wish Bus, "Rise Up" by Andra Day, which you have already reacted to a month ago, were it not deleted, might have competed this in terms of number of views. One of the things we like most about Morissette is her warm and bubbly personality, you can see and feel it every time she talks (you may want to watch her interviews with other reactors to see) and also when she sings. She always has that smile before and after every performance. 🥰
According to some information I read, she started singing at an early age of 3! So maybe she was already singing even before she learned how to read and write. Talk of an inborn talent, with a gifted voice. Singing is her passion, so we can assume she have had put a lot of work and practice to be singing this good! Her precision, easy transitions between her registers, breath control, effective use of dynamics, and her squeaks (or vocal breaks) and growls, are the results of her many years of experience. She has a good enunciation and pronunciation skills, both in Filipino and English, which complements her beautiful voice, that's why it is so pleasant to listen to her. English (American English) is an official language in the Philippines and is taught in schools from the very start. So most Filipinos know English, in addition to a native language like Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilocano, etc. Add to this, Morissette was an A+ student and we can see and hear that in her singing and when she is speaking, that's why perhaps you wonder whether she has an American origin aside from being a Filipino. 😊

I've heard her say that English is spoken more in her native province than there local dialect. She has been singing since she was a young girl and professionally for over 10 years, so she does have a lot of experience. I really enjoy your analysis/commentary style!

This is her most viewed performance on RUclips but not my favorite, even if Mori is amazing, as always.
Your comments are really enlightening to understand how much talent, how much work there is behind a song.
Regarding Mori, anyway, I think that besides her vocal ability what makes her unique is the incredible tone of her voice and I don't know if this is a quality that can be trained: many good singers don't have Mori's mesmerizing tone of voice.
Sometimes, listening to her, I remember the fairy tale of the Pied Piper ...

A me piace tanto, nel cantare dà un senso di dolcezza oltre che essere davvero brava...l ho sentita nella cover stone cold di demi lovato, è un pezzo difficile e lei l ha interpretato, per me, con tanto patos..a questo proposito mi piacerebbe sapere cosa ne pensi tu, sia del pezzo sia di demi.. 🙋♀️

Ciao Giacomo, come richiesto piccolo commento sulla sua (Mori) facilita di esprinersi in Americano (not British English), probabilmente non lo sai ma l’American English è la lingua ufficiale, insieme al Tagalog, nella costituzione della Repubblica delle Filippine. Questo perchè le Filippine erano una semi-colonia Americana per quasi 100 anni, presa alla Spagna che ce la avuta per 300 anni in precedenza. Tutti parlano American English nelle Filippine, US è la nazione dove hanno emigrato la maggioranza dei Filippini all’estero, e dove tutti vogliono andare. In piu le Filippine sono il paese di destinazioni di tanti studenti Asiatici (specialmente Coreani e Cinesi) che vogliono apprendere l’Inglese, c’è un’industria molto avanzata e tantissimi Filipini lavorano come insegnanti d’Inglese in vari paesi d’Asia (Tailandia, Malesia ecc..). Mi fermo qui se no ti prendo tutta la pagina solo per questo commento. Come sempre trovo le tue reazioni istruttive e piacevoli da seguire. Bravo.
