- Bomb King's talent Royal Subjects has been a plague on this game since its inception. It's either been too weak to be a serious pick, or been so strong that it dominated the meta. It was a crutch for new players, and an abusive tool for experienced players. However, those days are gone!
Royal Subjects has been reworked from a talent that provides free damage by increasing his sticky bomb's explosion radius to a talent that gives him two poppy bombs with less knockback against enemies! With double the mobility and a powerful poppy bomb reset build, Bomb King now has the best mobility in the damage class! This rework is TOO FUN!
On top of that, Brightmarsh has received an excellent quality of life change in the form of restoring the decorations that were lost in the purge of OB70! The map is now richly decorated and teeming with life, and it sets a precedent for all old maps to have their decorations restored in the future!

Got to agree with hirez on this rework, since BK is top 3 dps. The champion should be a bit harder to play but ngl, sometimes you just need strong and easy champions to turn you brain off and win.

I think if these changes go through, BK will still be meta-defining, but I think there will be more freedom in what talent you choose.
Having talent diversity in each champion is how Paladins SHOULD be balanced :)

As a bk main I'm really really happy with this change I loved the movement of poppy bombs already so this talent is gonna be so much fun for dunks
And it makes his talents feel a bit more diverse now

The mobility on BombKing looks like a blast! Is Paladins really stepping up now in terms of updates to keep the game alive?
Eliminating Switch support is going to be huge. Catering to 9% of the player base who play on a console that is not meant for any sort of heavy action games, and as a result having to tune down features is silly and they finally realized that. You will lose that 9% of the player base initially, but in the long run you'll likely see a 20% increase - maybe even more if they keep really tightening the screws and putting out updates like this. Without having to focus on how to make their ideas work for an objectively inferior console (for this type of game) which doesn't handle resource intensive games well to begin with, I hope this is the beginning of them going really balls to the wall and trying to woo some disappointed OW2 players over to the grey side of the force. Lol

@@highjinx4763 But are you on Switch? They've ended Switch support which means the last update is the final update Switch players will get.
And once that happens it means Switch players (~9% of the player base) will only be able to play with that 9% that plays on Switch because of the version they will be on. The queues will be nightmares.

it must be a blast for someone to have a new way to play their main.

Hi andrewchicken, if you haven't could you make a movement character tier list? I mainly play andro drogoz and vora but sometimes i feel like other characters such as bk pip or even koga are better at movement
The funner the better, I'm just glad Bomb King requires more skill now. Can't wait for the mobile-BK era!

They need to give this talent concept to willow death zone talent but each death zone duration is lowered by half (and maybe even lower the damage of the death zone talent)

As a BK main, this talent is fun and definitely viable, I just can’t stop using the fast grumpy bomb talent. It’s clutch in duels when your aim isn’t perfect like me hah

Could you imagine them giving Evie 2 blinks as a talent and get rid of old wormhole?
Part of what keeps Evie so well balanced in terms of skill required to play her, and the reward for getting skilled with her is that wormhole is predictable if you're good. And that's also what keeps snow globe as a viable talent.
If you give her two blink charges to just go anywhere she wants she becomes less trackable, AND it becomes her only viable talent.

This is like old Accelerant (it used to be a Poppy Bomb card, the a Poppy Bomb talent), but less OP and at the same time more flexible.

Seriously, Hi-Rez can ask me for skin ideas any time they want. They have so many options to get creative but they don't.
ScorpIO, a scorpion Io skin. All the horoscope nuts would have to have it. Even put it on a small sale when the moon is in Scorpio.
A Findorr Calius (from Bleach) skin for Jenos since they already look a ton alike. And if you wanted to do a full Bleach release you could have a Zhin skin that makes him look like Kenpachi Zaraki with his jagged Zanpakuto. Koga as Grimmjow Jaggerjack. Terminus as Jidanbo Ikkanzaka.
Or you could go real adult and make a Talus skin called Phallus. He's already a dick, and already has a halloween costume skin...why not just put him in a dick costume?

@@joaoalmeida5926 i mean idk. He's my main and i do pretty well on him. I imagine it's kinda like Evie where you're really fragile but you have really good movement to make up for it
@@thatrandomguy5937 you can def make him work on specific situations but there is always a better option. Evie has the best mobility because its a safe option and you cant really counter it, besides Evie starts the game with haven and her 250 heal per Blink makes her pretty tanky

Edit:actually I think this might make my not play Tyra for sometimes with this Bomb King
It makes him require more skill to play well. While Royal Subjects was great for cover denial it also made it so that people who suck with his aim could still do tons of damage. IMO BK will be banned less after this. Remember, BK is pretty squishy for a DPS. Cassie can still melt him, CCs can still get him in trouble, and realistically most flanks will be able to counter him easier now without his massive hit radius.

@@liamengram6326 true,but lets remember the fact that the best BK players never need it the extra range in the bombs,so why took almost nothing from them and now more movility,he will now bot by seen as much,but the times you see him you better pray to god that you have a good Androw,VII or a good Cassie,actually Cassie now will by harder for her to kill the BK,I understand you said,but I think there should not by a caracter that dose BK levels damage,have a good CC and also the new movility that he has,and that the only bad thing dude has is that he docent have that much HP,because who cares?when you dodge nore then 50% percent of the damage you would have take
@@hellkaiser1366 If someone is good enough with standard BK shots to be playing them effectively without Royal Subjects they will be in lobbies with players good enough to counter him. I can hit VII mid-air regularly not just with Cassie shots, but with Tyra nades. I am not worried about a little bit of mobility on the king.
That playstyle is kinda toxic I hope that doesn't make it into the live server tbh
I just don't understand why they spend time on Champs that are already strong and in the meta, when there are so many Champs that NEED reworks to be viable again. Smdh
