The circus is basically the industry.
Basically she talks about all the people trying to drag her into scandals as well as the industry as a whole including her former label. They trained her and changed her to what she is and she has had to rise above. She knows how to write a song and she has the production help to make those songs into what they are!
The asylum is the music industry (IMO). It is also to the critics and haters. She is never credited for the lyrical genius she is. She has written or co-written every song she has recorded. When she has co-writers - there is only a couple….. not like a lot of people. Her storytelling is her niche! Thanks for reacting.
