I own two Henry's, the Model 001 .22, for about four years, then I got the Henry Big Boy 357mag/38 special in brass, with the octagon barrel this summer. Both great rifles ... The Big Boy is a tack driver, although it is heavy. I shoot it from a table, so it's braced. Mostly 38 special, as it's cheaper, and not nearly as loud as 357 mag .... I only have 25 yds to work with, but anything worse than one and half, to about two inches, in a two inch disc, out of five rounds, I'm disappointed ... the .22 has similar accuracy. Buckhorn sights only.
A amazing looking rifle. Nothing beats a Hennry lever gun. Always wanted one my self. My local Walmart still has on Christmas 🎄 sale for $260 or so . Think fin feather and fur had on sale also Always want one for small game gun . Think my uncle got 17hmr version. The 45-70 is a monster in deer killer for ohio. They offer new side gate levers in it or the moder x model . Love get a model x in 44mag or 357mag.

Out of all my guns. My henry is my favorite.
They are pretty cool definitely not one of my favorites but I do enjoy shooting it from time to time

You need to get some Rimfire exploding targets.
I vote low power scope. Lol
I think that's the route we're going to go and I like the exploding target idea
