Great quick review. There is barely any info on the LT Sport. I'm on the fence on getting this kayak, and have a few questions if you could help. Does the kayak get really hot after a while in the sun compared to the white color? Also have you had any experience with how well it handles boat wake (in a lake not ocean)?
Thank you for the comment. I too was concerned about the color black in the hot sun but it really wasn’t that bad with the type of material it uses and obviously being on water helps. I only took this out on a lake but it was a windy day and there were some jet skis nearby making wakes so it was a bit of an adjustment since I usually prefer sit on top kayaks but I think once you get a feel with the lightweight style and the unique footrests on this thing, you’ll be in great shape! I recommend.
@@DmanBuzz I know it's been said already but thank you for the review. I am also hoping to get this kayak, I really wanted the rail system to go fishing in lakes around me and wondered how it would work. I have been looking at a lot of info on the inlet, lake, and the regular beach LT, but this is the only video out there for the Sport. I also was wondering about water conditions because I it's rated for really calm water so the bit in the comment about the wind and jet skis is useful. I really hoped they would make it in white because I live in CA and it gets really hot here, so thank you for touching on that as well.
@@amydaniels7567 Thanks for the comment, happy I could help! It's a great product, I honestly wouldn't be too concerned about the color (though I wouldn't be surprised if they release the Sport model in white eventually). Having the rail mount is a game changer as I now have about 4 different T-track attachments (phone holder, fishing rod holder, cup holder, etc) that can be used on it which is super clutch. If you enjoy fishing, I think the Beach LT Sport is the origami kayak for you!
Over the course of maybe 50 feet. When paddling at my hardest on flat water, I can get to about 7 miles per hour, but it's a workout and I stop soon after.

Overpriced.
What would happen if it was in shallow areas ?
Thanks
7mph... over what distance? definitely not over 7miles.
