For Wolfman’s benefit, since he doesn’t remember us saying this before….the keyboardist, Joost Van Den Broek, started as a teenager in a band called After Forever, whose singer was an also teen-aged Floor Jansen. They released several albums before they broke up in 2009…they even toured Europe opening for Nightwish. Since After Forever, he has worked with tons of artists and produced even more, including Epica and Blind Guardian. He’s also been working with his old friend Floor on her solo material. Oh, and he’s actually SIR Joost, as he was knighted by the Dutch royals. Peter Vink, the guy with the pink bass, is Arjen’s favorite bass player…he was in a popular Dutch band in the 1960s called Q65, and a more progressive band called Finch during the 1970s. The female singer here is Magali (Maggy) Luyten. She’s from Belgium and currently sings in a band called The Prize.
Joost is one of my most favorites on the Hammond keyboards - loved that Hammond sound ever since the 70's with Ken Hensley doing July Morning with Uriah Heep
This song is a song from heavy metal supergroup Star One from the album Space Metal 2002! Star One members: Arjen Anthony Lucassen, guitars, keyboards, hammond organ Ed Warby, Drums Russell Allen, vocals Damian Wilson, vocals Dan Swano, vocals Floor Jansen, vocals The lead vocalist was Maggy Luyten from Belgium. Great, ty guys, just what the doctor ordered since I'm a bit under the weather. Felled a large oak here and tried to lift a big log that I kinda knew would be too heavy.
