It is called the "next gen" update because it is a performance update for the next gen consoles. You won't notice much on PC. On series X and PS5 it is a huge improvement. We used to be on the Xbox One version of the game, Crappy draw distance, frames below 30 fps. Now it is optimized for the next gen consoles.
And remove mods from PC version.
@@rtyti want some fries with all that salt?
@@rtytithat didn't happen
@@Mephilis78they’re exaggerating. What happened is the fo4 script extender (what a decent number of pc mods are based on) needs to be recoded for the new version. People are just salty we have to be patient while they repair the F4SE but theres a number of fixes out there right now and its not that big of a deal.
The real test would be to see the FPS difference downtown.
This video title should just say " Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
I forgot how great the ambient music was.
I have isolated my main rig from the update and using my older rig for testing.
In downtown Boston area just outside good neighbour looking down the street. I get a solid 60 with everything turned on ultra. The frame rate has stabilised since the patch but it still needs to target more than 60 frames per second.
Also they have updated the BA2 archive format to be closer to Starfield.
Way to ignore a major fix that this next gen update did.
Every time I went to Corvega before this update I had both LOD models showing, the distant overlaid with the close textures. Absolutely immersion breaking.
Now, that LOD issue is fixed on PC, as well as far less frame drops walking into downtown Boston.
I am sorry you don't enjoy bug fixing on a decade year old game, but me and several others did.
The lighting makes a lot more sense in the update
i think it is literally just different times of day
It performs way better tho no broken quests so far and ultra settings at 120 fps. Started a new play through its been fun so far.
You're using different weathers for the next gen compared to before the patch... you can't call this an improvement, as somebody else has pointed out in the comments the update is for next gen consoles...
this is the same fallout 4
Bethesda will never actually do anything performance wise besides bug fixes and creation club content.
and one other thing to note... frame rates above 60 tend to break the in-game clock...
The facial expression look better
No shit, Sherlock
So little has changed I can barely tell there is a difference.
But just on PC. It is a huge improvement for consoles.
This update was for optimization on the next gen consoles… not pcs… don’t know why so many people can’t grasp that lol
It's because it's forced on pc players that could've clicked 3 buttons to get the update in mods that don't break everything all at once
Pc players shifting blame for their broken mods to Bethesda being malicious. Instead of disabling auto updates and keeping the current one they have their mods on. You literally made yourselves a victim.
This video is completely pointless, because on PC is no difference at all. xD
It is called "Next Gen" update, because it was made for consoles.
And imagine that, we "only" had to wait 9 freakin' years for this to happen!
This update broken mods on PC
@@rtyti Yeah, shit happens. But this Update is made for consoles, so your video is still pointless, cause the footage shown is clearly played on PC, right!
So, nothing changed, as you can see in your own footage. ;-)
It wouldn't be so pointless if you had shown, that this update intefers with countless mods on PC.
I am also on PC btw!
Yep, what every good true PC gamer know long before they push this out, to break mods and to keep the Fallout London from working. IT is why I have not updated to it yet. If London was given out now as is, I would have been able to play it just fine. But no...
That’s not true at all lmao. At least you acknowledge that you can choose to update the game or not, a lot of pc players seem to not know that.
No difference... cool
On console there is a huge difference. This DLC was made for colnsoles, that's why there is not much difference on PC. ;)
Next Gen update. ;)
most useless update ever just to fckin break mods...
it fixed alot of game breaking bugs as well as added support for widescreen moniters so no it wasnt useless. if your mod list got broken its your fault anyway for having auto updates on like a noob XD
It does well for consoles
@@MIGSmoakz they act like their game worked with mods anyway. this game crashes like paul walker even with no mods installed.
@@Zesmas Well actually it worked great for me with mods.
@@MIGSmoakz Not exaxtly a lot of bugs and the widescreen support (stretched hud) is amateurish at best.
