Most definitely loved it! I love Candy Dulfer's music. She's a beast on the sax. Would love to hear more of Candy. As someone else mentioned, you should react to Pick Up the Pieces. Knowing how much you love the sax, you'll enjoy it. Thanks for reacting to this!
Dave Stewart did some great stuff with the Eurythmics, and a few solo songs including this one with Candy Dulfer on sax ,and the sax on this is great . Real cool summer listening-Colin Ward
I forgot about this song! I remember it when I used to listen to Smooth Jazz! I can't find any radio stations that have that format anymore, and also unable to find any Alternative Rock radio stations! So I just listen to any music I like on You Tube, or listen to stations that play older music from decades gone by! There are a lot of female sax players that are amazing, like Jessy J, and sorry, I can't think of others right now! Later groovy 🐈😺 cats! I know I say that a lot, but I can't think of anything new to say! When I do, I will convey it! Bye!
Probably the best example I've heard of instruments greeting each other, having a meaningful conversation, hearing each other out...seducing each other into a sexy sultry relationship.
Candy was a support act for Madonna and Prince. When Prince cancelled her she wrote an angry letter to him. Prince invited her again later, was very impressed and collaborated more. He also was very charmed by her appearence and wanted to collaborate in another way, but she turned him down. Candy played with Pink Floyd, Nile Rogers, Beyoncé, Van Morrison and more!
Dave Stewart is one awesome musician and a producer now for some time. Don't know if you've done any Eurythmics yet. But they are among the best for me, some fantastic, fantastic music that doesn't sound like anything else. Annie Lennox's voice is as powerful as it is gorgeous. Maybe you've checked them out, but if not, you'd be glad you did!
This had been recorded as the main theme for a Dutch drama film, hence the title "Lily Was Here." The film was not a particularly big hit, but the single did so well in the Netherlands that it was released in other countries, including the United States, and became a sensation. Eventually, the namesake film got a dubbed video release in America during the VHS era, but has not been readily available since.
I can recommend a couple more songs from great female sax players for you. On alto sax Mindi Abair's "Pretty Good For A Girl" and on tenor sax Jessy J's "Tequila Moon".
I think you'd really love the music video for it (ruclips.net/video/7IvqlDZjb44/видео.html ), especially since you've heard it before ... and also because you get to see them perform the song AND because it tells the story of who Lily is 😊👍 !!! What's weird is, the song is actually on the Candy Dulfer album, Saxuality and is called, Lily Was Her (Ft. Dave Stewart), NOT the reverse.
My favorite Candy Dulfer song!
She did a lot of work and touring with Prince. She is a bad woman on that sax! ❤
Any song with Candy is amazingly great.

Love the rhythm of the song with the smooth sound of the sax nice.
Candy was always a powerhouse since she came on the scene. Our paths crossed many times and she's a player
I love that bass line throughout the music.
she is awesome!

Pamela Willams , Jazmin Ghent , Mindi Abair, Paula Atherton, just to name a few .. 🎷🎷🎷🎷🎷
Radioplayer app on Android Store. It has many Jazz sub genres alone never mind all the other categories
Candy Dulfer is "different"...She also played with Prince. 🎷
Dutch girl and saxophone player Candy Dulfer with the "mastermind" of The Eurythmics, Dave Stewart.

Sounds like it could have been from Miami Vice! Excellent!!
A cool tune. Was the intro of a midnight radio show back in the 90's
Still have this on 45.
What an amazing song!
You’ll definitely like Grover Washington Winelight
Nice
