Ok. That obviously wasn't enough for Pioneer, so they added auto bpm transition to the rev5, and VDJ then needed for it to be added too, to support this unit properly 🙂
Thanks for these tutorials. Not sure if this is the intended function but when I tried turning A-BPM TR "On" and then I hit the vocal button, I was expecting the vocals to cut out but they don't. Odd.
Great video again, I do often increase bpm as my mix goes on usually from about 130 to 140, I usually do this manually, moving the pitch fader every now and then little bits over the course of my mix. But this will be much smoother using this trick.
Ok. And you say that if you use the pad page, have 2 tracks with different bpms loaded on the 2 decks, and click "on" on the pad page, none of the BPMs change?
It's great that Atomix Productions has made this an Add on. You'd think they would just add it to the drop down unless they are waiting to make sure it's stable before they include it in the next update?@@klausmogensen8691
@@djabcraver2791The script is in the software. It's just the extra pad page that is an extension I think it's because it's really meant for the rev5 There are currently about 50 extra pad pages that you can add for all sorts of purposes, so that would be a big mess if all were included by default :)
Is the the basic auto_bpm_transition script the same as the Pitch Reset arrow? I can go from 140 down to 120 BPM by just clicking that arrow. I tried the auto_bpm_transition script and it takes me down from 140 to 120 super fast. Not slow like on your system. What am I doing wrong? My pitch reset is 0.0250 but when using the ABT button the pitch moves very fast for some reason.
No it's something completely new that handles both decks at the same time. The speed is controlled by the lenght set using the option script or the pad page
Ok, so it's only related to the auto-start option? In that case try upgrading to the latest early access release. There has been a couple of fixes for auto bpm transition, and I think one of them may be related to auto-start
Hi Klaus I nnotice that someone has the same problem as I do and that is the auto start does not work I've watched your video several times and the auto start just does not seem to be working. I am on the latest build (7651) everything else seems to work apart from the auto button?
How would I go about doing the mix_now function while this is doing the auto transition? I added & mix_now 8000ms at the end of the script but it just instantly changes over to the other deck without a smooth transition. Thanks!
It actually works fine for me I tested using the ABT pad page from the video - so the one from under extension. I then made sure that was set to auto start Then I copied the ON script from pad 1 and put it into the shift+pad 1 slot, and added & mix_now 16bt So all in all it was: var '@$abpmt_source' 1 ? auto_bpm_transition 'source_original' : auto_bpm_transition & mix_now 16bt And then it worked as expected. It would follow the settings from the pad page, including loop and stems and autostart, and then do the mix now over 16 beats, when I used Shift +pad 1 instead of just Pad 1
Ok, you are the 3rd person to comment something like that, so something is up... Could you try upgrading to the latest Early Access release? I think it may include an auto-start related fix If it works with the EA release, please let me know - then I'll put a note on it in the video description
I have the same issue and on the latest build. I've also tried it out on 2 different computers with the same result - cannot select auto start and it doesn't work @@klausmogensen8691
Excellent, thank you Klaus 👌🏻 will experiment with this at the weekend! Legend!
Ah ok. Whenever I need to do a large tempo jump I sync both decks and manually increase one of the decks pitch as I crossfade across. No big deal lol

As always, thank you!!
Thank you for explaining this awesome new feature so thoroughly!
Another great tip. Thank you, Klaus!
Thanks for another great video!

I think that pitch look is more simple and easy to use. But will be using the pad to see if it is necessary for my mixes. Thanks master
Me too
This can do kind of the same, but on steroids
What is the major difference between this and the smart fader function? Why would you choose this over that?
Yes I am on b7651
Ok. And you say that if you use the pad page, have 2 tracks with different bpms loaded on the 2 decks, and click "on" on the pad page, none of the BPMs change?
Santa Klaus! 😝 with more presense. Isn't this similar to the recently added
' smart_fader ' ?
Yes and no. It serves kind of the same purpose, but is expanded in functionality, and not related to the crossfader
Auto BPM transition has already functioned inside of Auto-Mix? @@klausmogensen8691

If I understand right, I've been using this for years. Script auto sync, lock both decks and auto pitch reset I believe.

The bpm moves but the opposite denk does not auto start play at all and I cannot enable it at all even when I push the pad to turn it on

Maybe try opgrading to the latest early access build (b7689). I think it has a couple of auto bpm transition fixes that may help in some cases
